yellowing leaves &veins

Firstly Hello to everyone on here, I'm new on here and am 3/4 through my first proper outdoor grow in pots and have a illuminous yellow leaves/veins on all my plants.

we seem to have sick plants all round, not close to dead but certainly heading in the wrong direction.

Soil is a what I would call a standard potting compost (not seedling) that is dark and has perlite added.

Strains are Early Misty and Swiss Miss,

fish blood and bone has also been added to the soil and is folia sprayed with vitax liquid seaweed.

havent a clue what this is...... so any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont wanna kill my lovelies after all the hard work and risk of growing involved.
In the photo of all 4 you can clearly see the difference in leaf colour compared to the healthy green leafed lady on the furthest right,

Nice looking plants overall. They just look hungry to me.

You've added fish, blood and bone to your soil mix, which is a slow release organic feed. However, just like a woman, your plant wants it NOW, not in a few months. :rolleyes:

I'm not big on foliar feeding but if it works for you, go for it.

You need some good nutes. I cannot advise you there, as I grow this plant inside with hydroponic nutrients. The best choice would be something specially formulated for MJ. And, since you've got organic soil and additives already going there, I would stick with organic teas, guanos, etc. You might be able to use some of what you have. What are the N-P-K numbers on your seaweed stuff?

There are numerous stickies at the top of each grow forum that deal with plant nutrition. Just look in some of the appropriate forums (FAQs, basic, outdoor, soil, organic). :detective1: Read, read, until your eyes bleed...:stoned:

I think the seaweed is ony 1-1-1 its basicly a micro nutrient type thing rather than a food source.
The Organic FB&B is 6-6-6 (I know....not the best numbers lol)

So far they all get just rain water, the occassional top up if dry and have had one good dose of Epsom salts and about a few bi-monthly sprays with the Seaweed solution.
so If I feed them a Chemical feed will this do damage to the soil or will it be safe, like just a one off, i have a 25-15-15 chempack feed in my shed and it has ALL the macro/micro included, I went with Organic as Ive been told the taste of the cured bud is alot nicer but like you say it is definately slow to act hey lol

I find that funny as hell, considering when I first started gardening many, many moons ago, I used to try to create the "proper English cottage garden" like I saw in the gardening books. :rolleyes: I'm a bit smarter now.........sometimes.

About rain water, I have two words for you: Acid Rain. If your rainwater is really acid, you might see some nutrient imbalances. Also, I understand you have to suppliment with cal-mag if using rainwater. Hmmm, sounds like research. :D They aren't getting food enough from the 1-1-1 foliar feed and No No to epsom salts, not a good idea. :(

As I said, can't advise you specifically, just in generalities. No, it won't damage your soil, per se, to go with chemical nutes. Just always, start slow and at a reduced rate from label directions.

To stay organic, you can look at seabird and bat guanos for flowering. They are fast acting sources of P and K and organic growers swear by them. You can supplement with unsulphured molasses (is that treacle over there?) at 1 tablespoon per gallon of irrigation water. Start SLOW with all additives.

Whatever nutes you choose, you are going to need at least two different formulations; one for vegetative growth, one for blooming. Veg nutes are usually balanced, like 1-1-1 or 6-6-6. Bloom nutes are heavy on P and K with little or no N.

If using chemical nutes, stop feeding some weeks before harvest. Indoors it is 2 - 4 weeks, but outdoors, I don't know. :detective1: Plain water during that flush time until harvest.
