Flowering log. Afgani1, Ice, SeniStar, GodBud, Crystal, Querkle

been a long time and a few grows since I put together a log. Thought this might be fun again :jointsmile:, and to top it off, its a legal grow, that feels nice ;)

I'm going to start now, just switched over to flower for the Godbud, crystalkush, sensistar and afgani, the Querkle is going to vedge for a week or 2 more.

plants are nice and healthy LST'd bushes ,started out as clones from a local dispensary. Ready to start too flower like crazy ( I hope) in 4.5 gallon square pots.

Afgani #1

VERY vigorous plant, the fastest growing of all the strains easy.

indica in structure short squat with huge leaves and a massive stem

amazing growing structure, shes grown into this well spaced out bush without ANY lst from me.

ice

another super grower, i think a cross between nl5 / skunk1 and shiva and afgani , supposed to be a very potent strain, we shall see.

sensi star

SOOO this one is the biggest suprize of the bunch. I expected sensei star was a pure indica, but this thing is the most gangly , branchy plants ive ever grown. So this must be the 'sativa' pheno of the sensi star ive read about....although im not quite clear how you can get a sativa anything out of a pure indica....anyways ive had to tie the shit out of her and anticipate more soon.



so that's all for now, the querkle are still quite small and need to put on a bit more weight before their photo shoot ;)


the containers are 4.5 gallon'sih square and really space efficient under the light. Soil fox farms, nutes fox farms....light 400hps for now, adding another 400hps next week or so once i space out the plants and the querkle comes in.

wow finaly an update, jeeze only been what, a month :stoned: , well most are in the 5-6 week period , and just starting to fatten up :stoned:(except the querkle, shes only been flowering for 3 weeks)

Afgani 1 ,

about 5-6 weeks in, she had a hermi problem a few weeks ago :( and looks like a bit of pollen got around the garden , not a lot , and Ive since removed all the MALE parts ! so Im not to worried, havent seen any more sense, and plugged a light leak I found !

Crystal kush

making buds and trics like crazy , must be the WW in her, wow, looks scary in a good way ,going to be 4 fat huge crystaly colas :jointsmile:

They say this was a cannabis cup winner a few years ago, and I beleive it , the buds are fat , they smell fantastic , and they're covered in trics already, going to be amazing in the vaporizer !!

ICE

The darkest geen of the bunch , looks like a very Indica pheno, but Im a bit dissapointed about the tric ( or lack of ) production, not keeping up with the others in that regard. I'm wondering if maybe she dosen't like the kinda higher heat Im dealing with here in Cali ( around 90 ish in the grow room) hopefully the tric production kicks in to high gear here in these last 4 weeks, cause Ive heard so many things about the insane trics on ICE ...

Sensi Star

This ones going to be the yeild winner for sure. I've kinda grown all the branches together into this 'nest', there was really nothing else I could do, it just kept stretching and branching !

I though that Sensi was supposed to be Indica, then whats up with the mega long branches, and thin little leaves ??? ;) Oh well , cant complain with the quality, and quantity, of the buds she's making, they smell like crazy lemon haze. Weird for a PURE INDICA ???

Querkle

She got a bit later start then the others and didnt vedge as long either , but looks like shes going to give up a positive bounty of sweet nugs , already covered in trics .....

OK so thats it for now, going to try an update again before another month goes by !

Im guessing at least 3-4 weeks more for some of the faster finishers ( God , and crystal ) and maybe 5 or more for the Afgani , Sensi , and 6 or more for the querkle.....

Light is a 600 watt Argo sun Super red HPS , an upgrade from the 400 I used to use, ...damn its red, and bright !

I'd love to hear from any one who may have grown Sensi Star before , I'm wondering if the clone was mislabled ? As well , any one grown out Ice? maybe trics kick in later in the cycle ?

your plants look great. are you using the foxfarm powder fert? sensi star is more a sativa type.

Wow this stuff looks great. It is obvious you have some knowledge and talent.

I was also curious about the square containers. They look great and the style I was looking at was a kind of ..mesh?.. maybe good for oxygen for the roots. They were very expensive though.

Do you move your plants away for pictures? Cause I was thinking that the square pots would be hard to rotate in a full bed of plants..?...

Sorry I cannot comment on the Sensi Star and Ice other than they look GREAT! I am still most impressed with the Crystal.

What did you do to get such great buds from the Crystal. The plants look great and leafy Aug 18 and then just have almost nothing but bud on Aug 22.

Is it lighting and careful removal? I am amazed.
