I'm just throwing this out there to see if anyone else here has made any kind of correlation between the two. A buddy of mine had a brain tumor on his pituitary gland and I've been having a constant headache for the last 10 days, which is something that has never happened to me. (Yes, I have a Dr. appointment.)
Obviously, we've both had GD and I started to worry that heating the alcohol could be something really bad for you. I know that blindness can occur with other types of alcohol and thought that the heating might create some kind of chemical change.
Has anyone else out there known anyone who used GD a lot and also developed a brain tumor?
Thanks.

um. well if your heating it correctly, then all your really doing is boiling the alcohol with the weed in it to get the extraction quicker. so really it should be a closed system, in which the boiled alcohol isnt changed, just condensates, and is reboiled. You have to use the correct alcohol. it can only be ethanol if drank. all the other alcohols can cause a horrible array of issues in your body. including rubbing alcohol which is really a mixture of ethanol and methanol so that it becomes a dangerous substance to drink normally.

why are you guys heating up the alcohol? I have never seen a recipe that says to heat the alcohol. green dragon is easy but takes time, "TIME" being the big thing here, dont heat it just let it sit for a month or more, even 6 months is good, and mix stir frequently. as far as brain tumors, I dont know I am not a doctor. try making tea for a faster tincture

blindness with alcohol occurs when you don't get rid of the first so much when you are distilling it.
or maybe if you drink too much. i've been there. but it wears off.

Drinkable alcohol, ethanol, ethyl alcohol, is heated all the time. Distillation itself is a heat-driven process. We cook with alcohol all the time. Heating ethanol doesn't change it to some other, harmful form of alcohol.

Well... i did read the opposite... that cannabis extracts can shrink brain tumors... look at:
Cannabis extract makes brain tumors shrink, halts growth of blood vessels (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/12088.php)
