I am leaving for 5 days and just put plants into flower a week ago. By the time I leave they will be two weeks into flower. As you can imagine they are doing their just got into flower stretch so the lights need to be raised everyday or two. I can get them by on water with a heavy watering the day I leave. I am worried about the stretch and having the plants run into the lights, then of course getting burned.

Any ideas on the best way to combat this. If I raise the lights say 6-8 inches will they just stretch and hit them anyway or is that my best option? They are clfs so I usually keep them 2-3 inches above the plant.

Thank you for any input or ideas.

You Could put a screen in the middle. That will slow them down some. You could get some with smaller spaces and relly slow it down. You may have to cut the screen away if it has made its way past the holes. You could prob. raise the light too but maybe just alittle. They will make it if they don't dry out or burn. You could water them and then use one of them blown glass waters from wal-mart two for ten bucks. Might at least keep them from drying out. I dont know if I helped but thats what I would try.

Thank you. I may give the screen a try. Water is not an issue. I watered them Monday and they are still good to go now on Thursday. They may want some water tomorrow but that is the same amount of time I will be gone so no worries there. I am just worried about the stretch and running into the lights.

The screen sounds like it could work. They may not like being squished against it but it is better than burning to death for a few days until I get back and can do what they need me to do.

I appreciate the idea. Have a good one.
