WHATS POPPIN RED?
AN EASY WAY I FOUND IS TO CUT THE BUDS LEAVE A LIL STEM PUT EM IN A BROWN PAPER BAG TIE THE TOP OF THE BAG AN STEM AN HANG IT UP AT A WINDOW. WAIT A WEEK OR SO AN THATS THAT.

Thanx Magic Herbs. That's pretty much what I was going to do but I wanted to make sure that it would do the trick. I should have quite a bit of smoke so I am also going to do the slow method of hanging the whole plant, roots and all, for about two weeks in a nice cool dark place. Than I'm going to put it in a paper bag for anther week or two and then finish it off in mason jars.
I have read this method in a lot of differant places, could be from the same person, and every time it said that the smoke was smooth and mellow. I just know that I won't make it six to eight weeks without needing some "samples".
Thanx again. :p :D

the paper bag method is good for a quick dry but is not a cure, which is a slow drying process which takes several weeks, up to a month. if you use the paper bags, be sure to check after 24 hours as they will be probably be at the state most start a true cure...iow, the outter surface of the bud is dry but not crusty while the inner parts are still fresh and the stem bends easily w/o breaking.
at this stage, put them into a container with lid and keep in a cool, dark spot. open the lid several times/day and leave off for 15-20 minutes then close but do not 'lock' the lid. gently stir daily and watch closely for uneven drying and mold, which shouldn't be a prob if condidtions above are meant...ambient temperature means everything as far as length of time for complete cure but usually 3 weeks to a month.

or use a fresh small cardboard box--put it up high in a room for 2 days--and u'l find ur little buds and pieces already about dry for sampling for a while--put ur bigger buds in ur jar ,lid on lightly and keep it in the dark.--after about 7-10 days keep ur lid on them tight and pull a dryer, smaller bud out and try it every few days.--after a few weeks all ur bigger ones will have cured and dryed like ur little buds did already.
