Hi Guys
I'm in 5th week of 12/12, when do buds really put on weight? I plan to keep them 12/12 for 9 weeks altogether.
Thanks

A.) What strain do you have?
B.) What are your growing conditions like (size, lights, medium, CO2, etc.)?
C.) What nutes are you using?
Generally, buds start packin on the weight during the last couple weeks with most of the resin production during the final week.

On average, from what I've seen, takes from 8 - 9 weeks to flower.
So, based on this, give it 3 -4 more weeks and see how everything is looking. Of course, you situation may be different than the average so just watch the colors of the hairs and chop it when it's as done as you want it to be.
If you REALLY want to pump up the weight, try to feed the plant as much as it can take without showing any external damage (tip burn).

what seed company did your white widow come from?
what lighting rig are you running?
during flower there is what's knows as the 40/60 phenomena. basically, the plant goes through "the stretch" for the first 40% of the time in flowering, while the last 60% is spent fattening up.

fyi, you can't put a timeline on a harvest. you need to look for physical indications like trichome color.

True, I tried to give him that heads up as well. You just have to pay attention, but an average time span is a helpful tool nonetheless!
Thanks for the info Shake, you-da-man

P.S. - Shake, if you are really serious about getting into plants, you might want to get this book:
Amazon.com: American Horticultural Society Encyclopedia of Gardening: Carol Cooper, Paula M. Elbirt: Books (http://www.amazon.com/American-Horticultural-Society-Encyclopedia-Gardening/dp/0789496534/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1246659510&sr=8-1)

The bank is dutch passion, a few of the plants are starting to show a few red hairs. The guide says 8- 9 weeks, giving it nine weeks. Also lights I am using are envirolites. Just a bit worried that they were not looking big.

Yes. Illuminated Microscope - RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604)
See what you think. It was referenced in an earlier post and I thought this was legit.

are you using the 125W, 200W or 250W? what color temperature are you using?
regardless which one you have you are gonna need/want more light! you want a minimum of, some people say 3000 lumens per square feet, while most would advise that you want minimum of 5000.
5 plants and one of those lights doesn't sound promising.
