View Full Version : Harvesting in 5 days or less, what should I do?!

Hey all, you may have helped me with some of my other threads (in which I burned my plants, over watered them, and generally applied any other sort of torture you can think of...)

Well it's time for me to harvest! I'm moving across the country on June 30th so the plants will need to be cut down AT LATEST by that morning.

There are 3 plants, one Indica which has a good amount of buds (including one very large one,) another Indica which also has quite a few buds but was burned severely due to lack of ventilation over a three-day weekend, and finally my Indica which is way behind the other two and is looking sickly these days (dropping leaves, skinny stems, leaf tips curling.)

So my question is, WHAT CAN I DO IN THESE LAST FEW DAYS TO IMPROVE MY YIELD?! I'm not going to buy anything (PS all I have is FFOF, no nutes) and these plants need to be transported in a moving truck for four days once I've cut them down.

Second question, if you had to move freshly harvested plants across the country, how would you do it? We're going to be driving for about 10 hours a day, I was thinking of laying all the clipped branches in wooden set of drawers which would be closed during the day while driving and opened up at night. There's no real way I can hang up the buds in a moving vehicle.

I could cut them down a day early and hang them up overnight to dry, but not sure how much a difference that will make plus I want them to have the extra flowering time.

Anyways to reiterate, I want max yield possible, I have 3 very different plants, and I am cutting them down early because I'm moving across the country in five days. I know this isn't optimal. What would you do?

See pics for reference.

PS - Would it be better to harvest a day earlier than planned and hang the buds for at least one day? Two days? Three? Four? Today?

Another idea is to put the full plants into the moving truck and let them "die/dry" in darkness over the course of the four day drive and begin harvesting on 7/4 when I have reached my destination?

For discussion of the best method for drying/curing while on the road, I've made this new post How to Dry / Cure Plants in a Moving-Truck - Feedback Needed! (http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-growing/172765-how-dry-cure-plants-moving-truck-feedback-needed.html)
