I am new to this forum, but from what I gathered, it is totally private ad secure, and it is safe to post pictures and share information here. That is the presumption I am under.
ow with this holding true, I will share my first attempt at a cfl closet grow. I did 2 months worth of thinking, about a few weeks preceding 4/20 i began, and have only taken any real action over the last 4-5 weeks.
My first attempt was outdoor, seeds germinated inside, found my best method after trial and error, then transplanted them into solo cups outside. Problem is, the weather in new england has been awful. Summer forgot about us. All rain. Those plants are pretty much dead.
I fid a book i a book store teaching me easy indoor growing techiques. start using that as reference, as well as many google searches and forum browsing. I have learned a lot, ad my next wave will be far more successful. This is where I am to this day. Any advice, tips, or comments are more than welcome.
I think I'm doing a good job. My last photo was taken on day 30, almost 2 weeks into being put on 12/12.
I am currently debated cuttig low braches and doing cloning as well, once i do more research. I would have to store them for about a month or so before I ca regrow, or I could put them with my 12/12 mother to grow. Not sure what is best. But here it goes.
And yes, I realized too late how dumb it was to put 2 plants in one big pot. Each plant should have its own. Thought I was insuring 1 female. Now I'm begging for it. Will find out soon.

second set of photos

yesterday I found out that my ttrouble plant, the one that was droopy and had a oddly bent stem, showed his balls. He was a boy. I had to remove him. Also figures it shoul;d give more space in the pot for his (hopefully) sister. So i ripped him out. Right now hes in my fridge, I'm trying to see what I can use him for.

last set.

this is where I'm at now. Tommorrow morning I'll see if she(hopefully) shows her pistils. If not, I accept it as a lesson, and will start over not making newbie mistakes. So tonights like xmas eve to me. excited.
any comments or suggestions are welcome.

you can notice i had a little burn from the cfl. its okay though, I moved it and the plant will heal.

the last image is what I am left with now.

so, my first girl! I was so excited, especially after the death of my first male. The hairs and pistils are really starting to show on her. Shes only been in flower for 2 weeks so i decided to test out cloning, which i find to be a difficult concept to grasp, yet not. Still a bit confused and am experimenting.
Anyways, my girls looking good. About 20" tall right now. i see 1 big main cola, as well as almost 12 more in a square/cross X shape from aerial view.
Its looking good to me.
Tell me what you think.

So, with my first attempt at cloning, i decided i HAD to have a 20/4 cycle as my current 12/12 would not cut it. So i got creative. In my closet is my flowering. large large space, but hidden. But where to put a beg box? I know. my 50 gallon cichlid tank. Thought it was a sweet idea, plus im pumped to try cloning.
also, my girls brothers/sisters have been sitting in solo cuts outside in dreary new england weather for the last month, barely growing, especially in contrast to the sister. I'm going to try to veg them up indoors until they are stronger and the summer weather finally picks up here for an outdoor crop.

Yo green, lookin' good. How come 20/4 for the clones? For veg. I've only heard of 24hrs or 18on/6off. I use 18/6 just so save the 6hrs of electricity and have really seen no proof that 24 is any better.
