I'm a new grower, I've recently started some seeds from some street shwag. The weed was very nice, and the seeds are great. One sprouted in two days, while the other sprouted in about 4 days. They are both now growing wonderfully rich green leaves...one has its first two and the other oddly has 3 leaves and 3 of the "fake" leaves at its sprouting period...I'm using some great soil with perlite and delayed-release nutrients...keeping plenty of moisture....giving a mixture of sunlight and flourescent light...minimal dark time...they're growing wonderfully, I'm just waiting to see the sex so I can seperate them if I need to. I'll probably germinate more seeds in 16 oz plastic cups, but how long can I grow them in these cups? When should I transfer? I'm actually against the idea of transplanting, so I started one seed in a big plant bucket, and it seems to be beginning to flourish....any recommendations on starting some seeds in cups? Or anything for the two already growing veggies?

sometimes bag weed sprouts funny, ive had mutants grow up nice tho, just give her time. you can keep your plants in cups for a while, but they will eventualy get rootbound. its better to step up your pot sizes instead of planting straight into a big pot. this developes root mass which you can inspect during transplants to keep healthy. roots = buds, if your roots suck, your bud will suck. dont be against the idea of transplanting. go to the basic growing threads and ask questions if you want advice, you will get help there.
