I did a lil' bit of tweaking and found to had needed more exhaust! I was sweatin'! Literally... I had time to add a 265 cfm fan... If it don't work I'll add another 465 and take out the 265. Guess I'll need to do an 8 inch passive intake. If I went with the 2- 465cfm fans.. Just A thought.. Added another T-stat,for the 265 fan..Got my lights fired and most tests complete.. Still gotta add my drippers and pumps and such...Oh,yeah! almost done with the floor... Ya see Opie Yutts No pest strip in the passive intake pic?:D:thumbsup::stoned::jointsmile::smokin:

Well, since GaGrown is down South,

Summertime = Creepy, Crawly, Critters

What's been in my grow area lately? Centipedes, earwigs, asst. spiders, roaches, the ever present fungus gnats, and a few unidentified denizens. Solitary lady growers, beware, you gotta learn to kill the bugs. I'm thankful for what I don't have, at least in the grow room. (snakes, rats, mold, most plant eating bugs).

I agree with GaGrown. Gotta go for preventative maintenance, especially in summer.

Hey, Ga, I hear we now have to be concerned with escaped, "maneating Burmese pythons" migrating up from FL.:eek:

Got my fan in last night.. Now I'm gonna be workin' on my holding tank for my drip system.. Gonna get my airstone and pumps out today and all my watering stuff. Gonna get that set up so it will be done.. Don't wanna have to worry about it later.. I'll post some pics tonight. I'm bout to get back to working on things.. I'm goin' to Home depot and get 2 more planters and more pest strips.. I like to hang 2 in the room and a few outside the room.. I use neem oil while vegging then I stop using it about a week into flowering.. The oil is for spidermites.. Just to make sure they are taken care of and there is no threat of infestation!!!!!! I hate those son of guns!!! Gonna post more pics of my progress this evening. Thank's for the props!:thumbsup:

Ok...... Just got back from home depot and got 2 more planters as well as 3 no pest strips.. Hung them all about my outside room and added 1 more inside. Tizzzzz Spidermite season.. I hung my 2x2 flouresent light. so I can get my cuts or seeds started. Better be cuts!!!! They know what I'm talkin' bout! And who they are!Anywayzzz... I'll take pics of what I did do. Not much left to do.. Got another 465 fan on the way too.. Gonna swap the 265 out with it. Gonna go grill porkchops then I'll be back online later.:jumphappy:

If you have that type phobia of pesticides then these strips are for you! They are odorless... veg oil is not the active killer. Get a couple and put them in an out building and see what happens... Do a couple of tests with them. Ventilation would cure any fumes you my be wary of.. Just a thought!

Well this is what they are.. I've used them for several years now along with neem oil and all has been well. They are Hot Shot No pest strips.

Well.. I did a few more things than planned. I added airconditioning via my central air system..Got my 2x2 flo light up for starting my cuts or seedlings. Made a short lil' video of the set-up. For some reason my video won't upload. I'll add pics to this post and my video in another album.. Can everyone see my album? I have like 18 or more pics..Anyways... Things are coming together!:thumbsup:

Thank ya for the props! The wallpaper is mylar.. I'm gonna use soil with a drip system.. The hydro thingy I've done before,but I feel a bit more comfortable with soil.. Seems soil growing is somewhat more tolerant to mistakes... I try not to make any mistakes! But who around here is perfect,anyway? You keep a check on my log!! Won't be long before the room is full..:thumbsup:

I just went to pick up my gurls.. He only would let him have 2 clones. Now I have some work to do for sure! The strain is Big Bud.. I'll veg here for a few weeks and take some cuttings... I may be able to get the cuts that I had orriginally planned on. If not I'll plant some of the beans I have onhand.. Most of those are indica or afgahn.. I could have already been on my way from seed. Gonna post some pics before I transplant her.. I have some new drain pans.. I think my set-up will change some because of the pans.. I need to use pots instead of the grow trays...

It's just one plant... I got her lookin' much better!!:thumbsup: She's been healing for a week now, and I could get 1 or 2 cuts now.. I'll take a video when I take them.. The only thing I know is a cooler had to flip.. Out of 12 we get 1 each? Go figure!!:mad: I'm blastin' her with 1 600 watter and a conversion bulb..16 hours of light a day... Gonna shoot for for 10 cuttings..

Do you have the fan blow directly on the plants at all or just for air movement in general. I have mine osilate or w.e lol so the stem gets nice and strong, but I guess since your gonna take cuttings you dont want them to get to tough. Looks good, I just took some new pics of my buds, they look like candy to me.

I just took some cuts!! :thumbsup: I finnally got my temps at bay,too.. Check out my pics! I have my fan oscilate.. got temps at 68 lights off and 78 on.:jointsmile: It has gotten as high as 82..I have another fan set to come on at 82..

Here are the latest pics.. New grow bag. For my mother.I took cuts and then transplanted into a grow bag. Added my flo light and it will run 24/7.. Got cuttings in a humidome.. 1st pic is after gurl got a trim...;) pic 2 is of the grow bag.. pic 3 is of the cuts in the dome.. Pic 4 i sthe cut seconds after being cut.. pic 5 is the hormone I used along with superthrive. Now I'll spray my mama plant with neem oil. Then when the cuttings root I'll spray them,too..

I put a flo light on mine 24/7 and leave the timer set at 18 hours per day for my 600 watter that is on my mama plant.. So they are running together for 18 hrs. When it goes off the flo will stay on.

I mean the one finger thing. You say that promotes root production? I trim all my leaves on my clones too, but i cut em in half, i don't remove whole fingers.

But it occured to me that they don't look like cannabis clones with only one finger per leaf and that would be a great cover if you needed to transport them stealth style.

Yur so so right Pimpster! What happened was my boss kept me on the road an extra 2 days. They rooted while I was gone and on the verge of drying out.The roots looked strong when I transplanted them but they look to have issues! I think the other 10 will be ok.. I'm gonna take 5 more cuttings tonight.

I just got back in town and went to check how things were going.. I have 4 cuttings that are a day or so from showing that they rooted.. I lost 2 that were in a jiffy peat pellet. I HATE THOSE! I went back to the way I know works! Thank's for the reminder,Pimp! I am transplanting all of them that have rooted into 1 gallon pots.. When the oter 4 show roots,into gallon pots they go,too! Then I can get on with the vegging process.. I took some pics. I'll add them to my album and post a thread with them.. That mama plant has taken off! I accually had to raise the light.. Here are the others. I think everythangs gonna be alright! Mama plant looks good. I'll bud her and revege.. Gotta keep this plant... I love the stature of this Big Bud... That 600 watter keeps her low. The plants you grow has to have every bit to do with the room you have to work with...I've never grown Big Bud before. I think I like it! Smoked a bunch of it!! The buds on these plants will be better than average with the light they will get. 2 600's?? Come on.. It's got to be better than trying to grow a sativa,huh?

The PWR is: purple urkle, trainwreck, romulan

Mix picture is mostly Affi x Lowryder on the back row and the front right is an accidental cross of some great genetics Skunk#1, Affi, Durban male and the fem was blueberry, white rhino, peak19 & AK47.

Well.... these 4 won't ever have roots!!! I pulled the soil apart and the stems were mushy.. They are lush and green too.. That's 6 dead so far... Leads me to believe that it's time for a new bottle of rooting hormones.. I've had that bottle 3 or 4 years.. So Yeah! That would be the problem,I think.. I'll post pics of what they look like.. I've never had this trouble ever.. I've always had a pretty good rooting percentage...

I'm about to take 8-10 cuttings tonight.. No peat pellets!! New Hormones.. I'm gonna use 2 600's so I have the light for more than 7 plants.. Gonna do a buddy a favor and give him one to use as a mama... That will leave me with 7.. I would feel better about my efforts with 12-14 plants.. Not to mention weight.. It might have to last me a while. I wanna move.Buy a house!!!!!! I will post pics of the other cuttings and the ones I'm about to cut.. Hope this goes better than the last try.. Live and learn,huh? Just took 8 new cuttings.. Here are some pics that cover most of what I did.. I do ahve a question,though.. Will the placement of the tray be alright with 16 hours of light and a heating pad under them? I've never used any other light except my 2x2 flo light and burned it 24/7.

I took 4 more cuttings on the 20th,for a total of 12 more.. I gave a buddy of mine 3 cutting that had taken root..He'll pay the favor back! Great Friend!!:thumbsup: That left me with 5 cuttings and Mama plant. She is getting big,too.. I added a light over the dome so they would get 24 hrs. of light.. Just a matter of security for, me.. I like to know they have light all the time..I've taken pics and video of progress since my last entry.. I'll post those as well. There are more pics I'll add to my albums.. Things are lookin' better than they have in the past few weeks.. Hard work will pay off in the end!

I had taken 12 cuttings between the 19th and 20th... So far,9 have rooted and waiting for the last 3.. I have some pics of past week or 2 and will post them in my album.. I accually have to upload them from my card... I've been gone for a week to the race in Atlanta.. Bad Ass!!!! God! I love a night race!:jointsmile:

Ok here is the pics of the plants now. I have both lights going. I had to add a 10 inch passive intake and a grill on the exhaust port. I have the temps at 78 to 82 lights on.:thumbsup:!!!!They are thriving!!!! Can I get a Hell Yeah! I'm gonna add my drip system as soon as I can get the smaller plants to 12-14 inches and then flower.. Sounds like a plan,huh? Oh yeah.... I added a video,too..

My room is full... I transplanted all,but 2 plants. Ran outta potting mix..I'll get some today and transplant those 2. Those girls are loving those lights and temps,too! Freakin' stalks are huge.! I took a bunch of pics awhile ago.. I'm gonna upload those when I get up.. Made a couple of videos,too.. I'll add those to my uploaded videos.. Then upload the still pics I took.. They are really taking off! Got some of my drip system done too.In about a week -10 days I'll be switching to 12/12..These are gonna be some nice buds too. The nodes are very close together,so it won't take long for them to cover the stems....They gonna be long,too and with the light they are gettin', gonna be dense and dank!:thumbsup:

I switched the lights back to 12/12.. I've been having to go on short out of town trips,for work.. I thought it would be in my best interest to go ahead and flower.. The room is full! Plants are looking great except for my mama plant. Had a dripper that was bad... When the lights come on I'll go take a few pics.. Here is what they were looking like on the 20th when I started to flower..:jointsmile: Can't wait!! Gonna be some Halloween Bud! Evil,Wicked,Mean and Nasty!

I came home from a weeklong work assignment once and had a clogged return hose on a hydro set up, a clay pebble floated into the drain. Lost that plant and had a big mess on the floor from the overflow.

Using soil now and have to go to Canada for a week soon with 6 ladies in full flower, maybe will have to try these watering globes.

Yeah,Hemp! I know that was a real BUMMER! One plant is alot! Especially when it's flowering,huh? Well I was gone for a few days and need to update ya'll.. Mama plant is flowering nicely,but still looks like it's got necrosis.. I even let her dry out and water one side of the bag. just trying something,there.. My lights come on at 7pm so it's gonna be a few before I can get some pics. The smaller plants have caught the older ones ,some even outgrew them.. They look like they'll be nice and dense... Time will tell!! Got 5 more weeks or so..I started them on Sept.21st.. I'll be back around about 7ish.....Peace!

I don't use a pen.. I just use ferts at 1/4 the dose.. I still flush them a week before harvest.. Something bout the taste of it. The ferts that is..Weed tastes better when this procedure is done.. Just that odd-ball plant with necrosis,with me too! I've tried to help her to no avail.Peace to ya Hemp!

I never did go digital...Very happy with my 600WATT Hydrofarm PowerHouse though...A 600Watt light is said to be the most efficient and I agree...Comparing a 1000WATT light to 2 600's is like comparing the spread of a single barrel shotgun to a Beverly Hillbilly's double barrel pinball shooter,lol!!!

These have been flowering since the 21st of Sept. They should be done by Nov.2nd plus a day! Normally Big Bud finishes in 5 1/2 to 6 weeks.. Peace to ya Shovel!

Here they are with 14 days to go.. Lookin' ok to had been neglected.. I took the best care of them I could due to my work...Let this be a lesson to all of us! I'm not greedy! I had to leave and start a new job out of town.. I had been gone for about 4 days and would not had been home to harvest,so I called my son to take care of the harvest and and he did just that. He took all me equipment down like I asked him and packed all of it totes.. Put the totes on the back of his truck,to be taken to storage building, and went home. One of his buddys was peepin in the boxes while he was inside and later that night he came back and stole my shit! I guess he thought all of it was my sons equipment. Needless to say.... He got his ass whooped!!!!!! My boy tore that ass up! I have since bought new stuff and only got back a few of the older items I had. Timers, t-stats and a fan.. That lil' SOB cost me a couple grand in equipment!:mad: I'm up and running again...:thumbsup: ... Got Big Bud growing now.. It is so very nice to have a person keeping this strain going! Got a Mama plant from him and took cuttings.. They are really looking good,too! I've added a 1000 watter and a mover, With a vented reflector.. As soon as I get pics and video made,I'll be sure and post them. I appologize to all that had followed the grow thread! I'm back and better than ever!:jointsmile:
