So I am a fucking retard.. I was messing with my dog and ended up dumping the bubbler on my blackberry bold. It totally covered the screen and keyboard with nasty water. It was still turned on so I pulled the battery out within 10 seconds. I really had to resist the urge to rinse it off with more water, but it smells pretty bad. I soaked up the as much as I could and stuck the phone in a tupperware full of rice to absorb as much moisture as I can.. Do you think itll still work? I am afraid to put the battery back in.. How long should I wait? I cannot afford another $400 phone.. :(

Let it dry out for a few days man. Then pray to allah or whichever imaginary figure you want and throw that bad boy back in.

Would all be good if yuh had a Casio Cell Phone Home Page: The G'zOne Is One Tough Cell Phone (http://www.casiogzone.com/) hah.. love this thing, I destroy pretty lil phones.. Always give people a demonstration bout my phone and throw it at brick walls or at the pavement ;)

You know about the white stickers on the battery and the phone indicating water damage right? If they're still white that's a good sign. I have seen some phones come back from the dead when the sticker turns red but obviously you have a better shot if it didn't turn red. I would wait at least 24 hours.
I think you have a good shot if you're patient because it was a spill on the keyboard and may not have entered the phone.

If your phone doesnt work but there is no indication of water damage on the thing FakeBoobsRule was talking about, your service provider will replace it.
