The definition of a "heavy" smoker seems to vary quite a bit on this forum...Everything I've read says to avoid dilution if possible if you are a heavy smoker. My bf and I go through a half ounce in about 3 weeks, medium-high grade commercial and occassional kb. In the past couple of weeks, I've shared 3-4 bowls every other day (sometimes every day) using a bong, and 2 cigar blunts. I definately know alot of people that have 10+ bowls a day by themselves, and I know alot of people that use alot less, so I'm guessing this is considered average. Am I an okay canidate for dilution or is this considered heavy? Thursday I'm going to fill out paperwork for tutoring through the state for someone taking classes through workman's comp, I'm just going to go ahead and assume that I will have to take a drug test early next week. Does anyone happen to know if most states use the immunoassay initially, or do they go straight to GC/MS? If it matters, I reside in NE.

If I get the go ahead, I'll post a very detailed log of what I put in my body when and the results of adulteration and THC test strips every day until the test for the many people that want to see real life examples of the dilution method. For now I'm gonna start creatine loading. Thanks in advance :)

I always thought dilution was the next best thing to subbing regardless of how much you smoke. If there are no head shops near you to buy sub, there may not be time to mail-order it, and you would have to try dilution. I have a friend who I would consider a heavy smoker, and he has always passed tests using dilution. I guided him through his first dilution. :) So I guess the main question may be, is there a good head shop in Omaha, or Lincoln, or whatever the nearest largish town is. That probably has more influence on your decision than any other factor.

Haha, yeah there are 2 shops that sell paraphenilia in the entire omaha area, and they don't sell anything related to drug testing. Its not as big of a city as people think!

I guess the definition of a heavy smoker is in the eye of the toker...there are a some variables one must consider...like quaility of weed...Personally,i feel if you smoke 2 or more blunts a day...you're a heavy smoker...:stoned:

I agree that the definition of "heavy smoker" is open to interpretation. I would say that if you smoke daily you are a candidate for heavy smoker but I have seen posts by self described heavy smokers who say they go through 1/2 oz to 1 oz plus in a week.

I would also say to you that if you are going to use dillution you may want to consider abstaining from now until you have your UA. It does take time to process the thc metabolites out of your system especially if you have been smoking daily. A high fiber diet, metamucil and exercise will help. Search the threads for more info.

I have been abstaining and was on high fiber diet with metamucil plus exercise and at 14 days I tested at 55 ng/ml, I sent my sample in to a testing facility so I know. I took a UA for a new job at day 25 of abstinence and used dillution to be on the safe side. BTW I smoked between a 1/2 joint to 1 joint daily for a year before I stopped to clean out my system.

Good luck to you.
