Does anyone have any pictures of the root system on a seedling in a rapid rooter plug when it's ready to be transplanted into the planting medium?
In my case it's hydroton. I'm not sure when I should take them out of my bubble cloner and put them in the hydroton.
Many thanks....

Sorry, this is the only pic I could find. There's some root tips sticking out of the side of the RR, just visible past the lip of the cup. (I think the only reason I mighta snapped this pic is how unusually high all the root development seems to be.)
If I've got roots poking out the side of the RR, I get 'em outta the cloner and into dirt. Ideally, you've got 'em just starting to poke out evenly, all around the RR.
I've heard stories about shocking young-un's by sticking 'em right into hot soil like FFOF, but I've never had any problems. I usta waste lotsa time gradually "hardening off" new starts before transplanting. Proved unneccessary. I plan to do the same with coco and DWC, when there's room for new experiments. You may want to wait for an experienced hydro opinion, though. :detective1:
But my philosophy: if it's got roots, it's a plant and is ready to be treated accordingly. (I believe this philosophy is shared by LEO, FWIW.)

I bought rapid rooters and humidity dome setup and really love them. I haven't taken pics of the roots but within 7-11 days I had really nice roots on my clones. Just by misting the dome every so often the cuttings stayed healthy looking for the most part. Trimming the leaves up a bit helps too.
