I need help - is this a positive?

This is a great site - glad I found it, and I'll be spending more time here. Some very interesting technical discussions!

I need help badly. To give you some background, I've never been a heavy smoker - just a spliff every now and then. About 2 mos ago I started smoking on a daily basis. The last time I smoked was last Tuesday (June 2), and I just found out that for a new job I have to pass a screening test (no idea of the exact type). This is a very high ranking job with a business, so I simply have to pass. I still don't know when it is, but I figure the earliest I'll have to take it is next Tuesday.

So, I took 2 home tests last night to see what my current state is. On both tests I can make out a very very faint pink line, but I don't know if I'm simply seeing the test line itself, or a true negative result. My eyes may be playing tricks on me, because the other lines are bold red. I took an iPhone photo which is crap, but you can make it out a bit on here too:



So my question is, is this a negative result? I intend to flush and excersise my ass off for the next few days, but want to know if it will all be in vain, or if I really am borderline passing now as I believe I am.

If the job is that important and you have any doubt, sub. Why risk it?

Subbing really isn't a viable option as I can't get clean urine (I have to keep this quiet from "clean" friends).

What is this 'Klear' stuff? I'd consider spiking my sample with this. And does anyone know where to get some QF in a hurry (NYC)?

After a dilution trial run today (lots of gatorade, metamucil, cranberry and pomegranite, a GNC 2-day complete cleansing program, started a GNC 7-day cleansing program, 6 asprin, 500mg niacin, and tums), I took another 2 tests. First one failed, and the second one had the same result as above - possibly a bit darker.

If you can't tell I'm freakin out. I can stall until Tuesday possibly, so my gut tells me I should be ok.

As exercise will release more thc into my urine from fat, would doing some SERIOUS time in the sauna and steam room over the next few days help?

Its really hard to see in the picture but it looks like there is a very faint line.
Not much time I would just continue to exercise and eat a high fiber diet today and friday and then switch to a high fat red meat diet for the remainder and quit exercising.Saunas and hot tubs don't help because they don't burn fat only exercise does that.
Subbing with a synthetic urine would probably be better if its an option.

Got it, thenks for the advice KW. I have some QF coming today, and will have that as backup. Can I dilute my urine with the QF instead of sub - will it mix readily? I just want to make sure everything looks legit when I do it.

This high-fiber diet sucks by the way!

Uhh oh, the UA is on Monday and actually at the employers HQ - sub is NOT an option. I have no idea what I'm in for now, does it sound like they're going to send it away for analysis? :(

You could dillute your urine with QF but why? Just use the QF.
You can still sub, If its pre-employement they won't observe. If I heat the QF to about 100 degrees I can keep it at about 98 for 3 hours by storing it in my crotch. If its taking too long for them to do your UA keep the warmer in your pocket till you need to use it to get the temp where you need it. If at the lab if the temp is a little low when you pour it into the sample cup, rub your thumb against your clothes, then hold it against the temp strip for a few seconds. When it reads 98 degress step out of the restroom.

You will not be frisked if youre taking a employment drug test. Thats considered "groping" and very illegal. The collector can have you empty your pockets though.

Use the QF as it is. Dont add any water, or any of your own urine to it.

Crotch and carry the QF bottle like you would when following the guidelines outlined in the Substitution sticky thread.

Ive used the QF on and off for nearly a decade and never found the original 4 oz, nor the current 2 oz bottle to be bulky.

I just found out the test will be a 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MC.
Does this mean the sample wil automaticaly be sent off for gas chromo, instead of strip tested?
And most importantly, will the QF still work for this kind of test, even if subjected to a lab?

I did a search, but didn't find answers to these.

The SAP 5-50 is the screen. The GC/MS is used to confirm any positives on the SAP screen.

The QF will pass any screen or GC/MS because it contains no drugs to test positive for.

Just did a 1/2 trial run of dilution over 4hrs. Tested positive before, and here is the after - definitely negative. Will take a sub just in case, but will test 2x more in the morning to see where I'm at before and after dilution. Wish me luck.

**********UPDATE**********

Ok, so I woke up at 5am today and started diluting my ass off. First piss of the day... NEGATIVE. :) Followed N2's instructions to a 'T', and tested again at 9:30am right before I left for the test. The first image below is my 10am test with a BOLD RED LINE! :) I heated up my QF and crotched it just in case, and left.

Got to the center, and checked in. I REALLY had to pee at this point, so I asked if I could do it first. Didn't arouse any suspicion whatsoever, and they got me right in. Emptied my pockets, there was no other check and it was very casual. Got into the bathroom and it was DEAD QUIET! No fan, and a gap in the door that I could clearly see out of into the office across the way where they were listening. :( So I turned my back to the door, and started unscrewing the QF cap. So far so good. So I start pouring the QF, and it's making this 'glug glug' noise. Someone must have heard something, because they asked me if I was ok. I quickly stopped, stuffed the bottle back in my crotch having only poured in about 1/2 an ounce, and started pissing. Put 1.5oz of my midstream in the cup, and finished up. I was to nervous to try subbing all the way. :(

Exited the bathroom, and handed in my sample. They didn't even check the temp, just checked off all of the right boxes, sealed it up in front of me, and sent it off to the lab.

RAN home (had to pee again), and tried my 25% QF and 75% piss mix on my last remaining test kit. The second photo below is the result - BOLD RED LINE! :D

SO I'm thinking I'm in the clear now, no? Surely the lab test will show that I'm well below the threshold don't you think? If I show miniscule trace amounts well below the threshold, do they have any legal grounds to fail me, or to do more detailed tests?

Does this count for entry into the sub club? ;)

No, because as long as the sample registers under the cutoff level, its a negative, plain, sweet, and simple.

From what I can see on your home test results you have a good chance. You may hear nothing about the results if all is ok. I tested on Monday, I start today and i figure if i hear nothing by wednesday of next week i have nothing to worry about and will completely focus on my new career.

Well as you know you passed. We had to give my son one to prove to school that he is not smoking. The instructions say No matter HOW FAINT the line is, it is a pass.
