Hi all,

As the name suggests I have Multiple Sclerosis. I have had it for 3yrs, and get frequent muscle spasms in my back on a daily basis.I am on weekly interferon injections to help slow the progression of the MS which works great but is hard on the liver. In relation to the muscle spasms I have tried every over the counter pain killer and muscle relaxant and do not want to go the prescription route as the dosages required due to my physical size would be much worse than what the over the counter stuff is already doing I'm sure. i have been using cannabis instead and it has done amazing things for me to say the least. I don't suffer from the muscle spasms and i sleep like a baby now! My problem is i don't have a general practioner or physician. i DO have a neurologist but she is against marijuana as medicine. I have been searching for a GP or physician that would sign my medical exemption papers but have yet to succeed. Can anyone help me out in any way at all?? I'm starting to lose hope after what seems like a never ending search Thanks in advance.

treating yourself. com - just make it all one URL- :D Nice folks who should be able to steer you in the right direction.

And if you click the link in my sig, you will be able to access a whole load of "MMJ vs MS" studies and articles. Perhaps a little scientific evidence might help convince her.

*EDIT* Unfortunately despite the mounds of helpful information you've provided me with, she is far too stubborn to change her views :(
