A little backround...

I VEGGED for 21 days under CFL's and then moved to FLOWER under 4 Air Cooled 600's. I am growing 48 ladies in Sunshine #4 and 1 gallon pots. I used AN products with PPM around 1000 and CO2 for first 49 days of flowering. I cut Co2 at that point and water only at that point. (thinking I would be cutting around day 56-60 at the latest.

I am on day 68 of flowering. Trichomes are still mostly clear turning cloudy in some spots and some rare ambers as well. Hairs are mostly turning orange but still plenty of white pistils to be seen. I am surprised they are not done yet but have put on some weight with the additional time to flower. I cut some on day 61 to test readiness and it needed more time, smokes fine but could use more time.

Also on day 61 of flowering the timer malfunctioned and left 2 of the 600's on for the entire 24 hours rather than 12. BIG STRESS...OH OHHHH

I now found what I thought look like seed pods on 1 plant, not on the top bud but on a lower branch and I only found 1 actual seed, I cut that branch off, and on a few other plants I found what also look like seed pods. No real developed seeds though.

These all came from female clones and have never had any hermie heritage. Did I stress them enough to hermie a few of them?

If so, this late in flowering will it cause seeds to grow in my whole crop? Should I cut them down at this point? If so all of them or just what I suspect to be hermie? A friend told me it could be the THC glands filling up and just looks like seed pods.

Any help you guys can give is much appreciated.

What strain are you growing? I've read that a lot of strains will start producing male flowers towards the end of their life cycle if they haven't been pollinated, as that is their actual goal, so at 68 days, unless you're growing a sativa, I'd chop them. My Master Kush usually finishes in like 52-55 days so 68 seems like a long time to me unless its a sativa.

Oh NM, I missed the part about the lights staying on. I'm sure that's what is causing the herm.

It is a strain of kush, which I don't know. But it seems to have some sativa characteristics. VERY STRANGE

But also need help with some of my questions...

OG Kush is a sativa dominant strain, which is kind of weird considering its called "Kush" which is generally indica. I think if you think she's not ready then wait it out, because the male flowers will take at least a couple weeks to mature, then they have to burst and then it will take a couple more weeks on top of that for seeds to set, so as long as you harvest in the next couple weeks you should be good. But if they are already growing and almost mature I would chop now, otherwise you will get a bunch of little baby seeds in your crop which is probably more annoying than full sized seeds because its almost impossible to get them all out.

Funny my friend I got the clones from said they were OG Kush but I figured he was wrong since I thought all kush were Indica strains.

Probably going to cut only the plants that are showing those signs tonight and wait out the rest another 7-10days or so.

ONE NOTE, I dont see ANY banana"s or anything like that just the seed pods, not sure if that matters.

Thanks

You need to make sure what they are.... seedpods or full pistils. Open one and find out. Then decide what to do.

^^Yeah

If it's a fully developed seed, then somehow pollen must have gotten on that a long time ago, way before you screwed up your lights. Seeds don't fully develop in a week.

No nanners, yet you still have seeds? Pollen must have come from somewhere else. :wtf:

WELL THEY ARE DEFINATELY SEEDS...

I found a few more nearly developed seeds, ONLY in the lower branches of 4 or 5 more plants. These branches all have underdeveloped buds with no density and not much trichromes. The top colas are beautiful, full of trichromes and quite dense for a sativa. Not a seed in any top colas anywhere just swollen calyxes.

I just don't understand how pollen got in. I have only females in flower right now and only female clones....Just strange!!!!

I cut down 22 last night and will chop the other 26 tonight. I know they are a touch early but my fear is they are as good as they will get right now and only worsen as they try to produce more seeds.

It will cut my yield in half if I had to guess!!

I will remove everything and give it all a good scrub down before moving my other babies in tomorrow.

If they are already pollinated, I would just leave them. It will be easier to pick out ripe seeds than it will be to pick out premature ones, and plus you will have seed stock in case your mother plant dies or something.

I had a few lower inner branches on my Master Kush with those wispy buds that ended up herming and were forming tiny seeds so I just chopped them. Its usually the scraggly undergrowth that ends up herming and pollinating, so its best just to cut it all off before you flower.

I gotta problem, I'm new to this game and you guys seem like you know the score.
I got 3 edelweis and 3 blueberry growing in a tent, I'm currently halfway through week 4 and the largest of my plants (blueberry) is showing signs on the cola's that it may be developing seeds, I'm not entirely sure they could well be new growth or resin sacks.
I've got a couple of photos, and was hoping you could point me in the right direction as I'd be gutted if my crop turns Hermie on me!!!
Thanks in advance.
