As with any debate the legalization of weed has arguments for its potential benefits and negative effects.

Now we all know that marijuana was sent by God to make our lives more pleasurable. But in order for the opposition to finally crack the pros must outweigh the cons. Meaning for every reason why anyone says it shouldn't be legal there needs to be one or more sound arguments for it.

So, I ask that anyone who reads this please post up any potential reasons to not legalize along with an argument to make it legal. In this way a list will be compiled that can potentially be sent by anyone to a representative of your state. Since convincing the politicians by fact is far better than simply saying "I want legal weed".

Con: Marijuana causes cancer.
Pro: No, in fact studies show that tobacco smokers are at a far greater risk of getting cancer than marijuana smokers.

Con: Marijuana can kill you.
Pro: Actually no deaths in the U.S. have listed marijuana as a primary factor. Instead the government should redirect drug war funding to research in heart disease and cancer as these are by far the leading causes of death in the U.S. today.

P.S. Sorry for the lengthy post but I'm tired of uneducated people saying that weed is bad and then giving a sorry excuse as to why it should stay unlawful to possess/ grow it. Actually not as long as I thought it was going to be but I still feel like I ranted a bit.

Pro: It is my Constitutional right to FREEDOM to injest any substance as long as I do not hurt others. If the substance is for religious purpose and a prohibition is imposed my Constitutional FREEDOM is stripped from me unfairly.

It's not about the drug it's about Constitutional right of FREEDOM.
