My friend has had his house swarmed with the little sunsabitches' and is tearing his hair out over whether these would harm his plants. Do they cause problems for the cannabis plant (they are young in like 3rd week veg) or are they just a pain in the arse in general?

They farm and raise afids!, and cause pythium rot :smokin:

Never had them cause any problems. I put a bowl of molasses on the floor. They go for that and get stuck in the molasses and die. Works good and its cheap.

Thanks man, i'll advise him on some good ant killer. Those little fuckers piss me off so bad.

ants generally don't bother your plants (they have no connection to pythium wilt, either) ... but, they are a nuisance in the home ... sprinkle some boric acid (powder), on the floor around your growing area (NOT on your soil) ... that will do the trick ... :smokin:
