patience is a virtue! it could take around a week for the seedlings to emerge from the soil. Just give it time, i have a feeling they'll pop out

Plant seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep...or they might not make it the surface? I put seeds in 16 oz plastic cups for gemination. I wet the soil, first; and only keep the top soil moist with a spray bottle. Also, try and maintain 80-85 degree soil temperature. Don't let the soil become compacted.
Good Luck

should i be giving them water everyday, or spraying the soil/plans when they come up with a water bottle? how often? should the soil always be wet/moist? thanks guys.

since you germinated them, did you plant them with the "tails" pointing up? or into the soil
because cannabis naturally has the "tails" curl over so if you made that mistake plant them with the tails pointing up! and not too deep, plant them so you can see the tails and the seed pod in the soil

At this point you just want to make sure that the top layer inch or two doesn't dry out, they don't need to be soaking.

patience, young padawan!
So long as the soil is moist, you don't have to worry.
You do have drainage holes, right? You don't want rotten roots.
And two days is way too soon to be worrying. Two weeks, come back and show us ur babies!
Oh, speaking of babies, know that in the first month, they are VERY fragile! Don't even fucking breathe near it!

I am not trying to be a jerk here, but if you dont know to wait more than day or two for the seeds to break ground you probably have a lot more to learn. The search function in the top menu can be ver helpful. There is so much information already on this site if you just take a few minuts to look for it... that is why I love this forum so much!! Like I said earlier, not trying to be a jerk, but there is a ton of info alraedy here, and if you look it up yourself you wont have to wait so long to get your questions answered, and you will probably learn a TON along the way. GOOD LUCK!!

I always plant mine with the root pointed downward, and they always sprout.

no worries, either way works, nature is smarter than us :) ... nature's way provides for the heavier, rounded end to land down (called 'gravity'), then, the emerging taproot will sense the soil surface, and flip over ... botanists feel this 'flipping' motion helps loosen and remove the outer shell, on its way to the surface ... I just happen to plant pointed-end down, 1/2" deep in soil, to be obnoxious, I guess :D ... too near the surface, the plant loses needed stability, too deep, delays emergence ... I also do NOT pre-soak seeds, or use the paper-towel method (a breeding ground for Pythium Wilt) ... that taproot is extremely sensitive to light or disturbance. leave it alone ... just do it like Mother Nature, drop it into moist soil, and don't water it until necessary, that's what kills off seedlings :smokin:

hi im also a first time grower.. long time smoker and i live in spain. Started germination of 6 seeds last night and by this morning 4 of the seeds had split so iv planted them in medium soil and added water. My question is do i now put these babies in direct sunlight, non direct sunlight or carry on leaving them in the dark until they sprout and the second set of leaves have come tru.
If light is needed/not needed i was thinking about creating a propagator using a an old platic bottle, should i be putting small holes in the bottle to increase air flow or not as i dnt wnt the seeds to rott?
Many thanks!

First you should have started your own thread to ask this question as you are what they call in this forum thread jacking.
Second, I usually wait till the first set of leaves show (after the cotelydon) and put them under maybe some fluros (not to intense) so they can establish themselves. Then upgrade to more lights as need be.
