Dank weed is good...not everybody here or anywhere are all getting "purple haze" or "White Widow" that shit is hard to get but most people that get good ass herb is dank nugs...i mean i dont get nething crazy tight but i do get some pretty good lookin shit. I understand if u were talking bout some dirt but if its dank...its dank ;)

Cdorm - Could try a mail-order like Jay's Joints. They're backed by cannabis culture and are pretty much the only surviving legit for the US that I know of. :( Their prices are high as hell too. But, if you're really in need of good bud, I suppose it's an option.

In a state as agriculturally minded as Iowa, I'm sure plenty of good bud is around, but like you said it's a matter of knowing the right people who won't sell you crap or try to rip you off. Keep buying off your friend. You might get the special friend prices or free weed out of it, especially if you were his friend before he got into dealing.
