What is the least amount of time necessary for vegetation?

How early can the flowering process be started?

I'm looking for a relatively small harvest and have very little expectations.

Just curious for a short fast grow...

are you growing from seed or clone? I'm not sure about from seed, but from my understanding you can kick clones over to flower after they take root.

Seeds can be started at 12/12. They will not flower until they reach sexual maturity. If you grow a seed you will notice that at some point the leaves grow alternately instead of opposite. This is when flowering will kick in if 12/12 is used. The only problem is that the yields will not be close to the full genetic potential. But if you are not looking for good yields it will work no problem.

I let my plants Veg for exactly four weeks. Fox Farms Ocean Forest and 5 CFL's can do wonders in a short period of time. I plan to harvest in exactly 12 weeks from the day I planted.

I made a post similar to yours here http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-growing/170377-8-small-plants-9-weeks-harvest-enough.html

And have run into some problems since, but I doubt that's because of how quick I sent them into flowering.

Here's them right when I started flowering, (http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-growing/171440-just-entered-flowering-now-problems-come.htmlhttp://boards.cannabis.com/basic-growing/171440-just-entered-flowering-now-problems-come.html)

And after I burned them to a crisp. (http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-growing/171697-heat-tortured-my-plants-can-i-save-them.html)
