whats up ya'll, this is my first grow and im about 1 month in, no major problems yet. I am using 4 40watt CFL's in my closet (2ft deep, 5 ft wide, 5.5ft tall) i have 5 plants im growing from bagseed, plant sizes are ranging from 4in (topped) to 8in i am about to put my plants into flowering seeing as i live in an apartment, and i want to see what the smell is gonna be like full flowering(i figured the smaller they were the less they would smell). they already smell strong as hell!, my bedroom reeks of fresh cannabis. im in the process of making a carbon scrubber, its built already but im too broke to buy the carbon right now haha. just wondering if the plants are looking ok for 1 month, looking at a lot of other peoples stuff, mine seem a bit small(to me at least)

you're doing a very good job, there  ... an oscillating fan will strengthen the stems, and keep humidity down, too ... and, nice pics, too :smokin:

thanks, ive been trying a lot of different things on them, one is topped, one is fimmed, two are trimmed (to let more light reach the branches) and one is left untouched. i figure that since they are from bag seed it would be a good idea to try out diff. techniques and see what works best for whatever strain this is. the fan thing brings up a good question i had, i've been running a non oscillating box fan on the plants 24/7, is this ok, i havent really been able to find much on it.

I read an interesting post on fan's here the other day. The question the author posed was how much fan do you need. And the answer the supposed was always more. If an oscillating fan will fit in the box I would try to get one :)

heres a few pics of some things i've noticed, tell me what ya think. i dont use any fertilizers, but i did try coffee grounds for N. im pretty sure it may have something to do with the soils PH(seeing as i've never tested it). and i know coffee will make the soil more acidic. as far as the canoeing & clawing goes, could my plants be root bound? not sure because my biggest plant shows no symptoms? also for a while i was using lights underneath the plant as well until i read it wasnt good for the plant. the white spot on the leaf has been there for about a week and a half, but hasnt gotten any larger, what could this be?

be careful with the 'experimental' feeding ... I suspect you may be over-watering, maybe ... be sure the plant goes thru 'wet & dry cycles' ... try a quality fertilizer, like Fox Farm, for instance ... mix it at 1/2 normal dosage, and apply once per week, only ... more plants are damaged with 'over-love', than anything else ... it's a lot easier to add more ferts, if needed, than to correct an over-feeding problem ... also, don't fret over an imperfect leaf, the best plants aren't 'perfect', either ... good luck
