Thumbs Way Up: Who'll Stop the Rain
I may have posted about it before, but I recommend Who'll Stop the Rain , which is Nick Nolte's best role. The book that it was based on is also very good, and that is Dog Soldiers , by Robert Stone. The main character in the book and movie, Ray Hicks, was loosly based on real-life "beat" hero Neil Cassady - who also drove the "Merry Prankster" bus with Ken Kesey's legendary troupe (Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, etc.)
This is NOT a comedy. It is about a drug smuggling scheme gone very wrong. Great action from Nolte, and other stars. You gotta see this. I bought the DVD, although I orignally saw it in the theaters. Read the book (Dog Soldiers), first, if you can. Thumbs down (WAY down!): Saving Grace
I saw Saving Grace in a movie theater, and hated it. I've NEVER seen people, high on pot, or anything other than alcohol (and even that is a stretch), behave the way the people in that movie did.
This is a movie that may be enjoyed by people without much experience with weed, since the acting is adequate. The story is not believable, and the characters are not sympathetic, either. Craig Ferguson, who has a late-night TV show, was a co-writer and actor in this piece of junk. The film won a â??Sundanceâ?� foreign-film audience award, which to me means it sucks.

I have to say any move is way better stoned, but dazed and confused is a classic, after I watched the ringer I almost passed out from laughing so hard I couldnt breathe, and King Kong is absolutly incredible, the sounds and fights are amazing. ^^Fear and loathing is a movie based on a book by journalist Hunter S. Tompson. It follows Tompson (Jhonny Depp calling himself Rauel Duke.) and his attorney Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro. One of his best performances IMO) as they head on a drug fueled journey to Las Vegas to cover the Mint 400 off road bike race.
You should relly check it out it's a crazy show that might be a little wierd the first time but just gets funnier and crazier every time you watch it.
Here's one of the best lines in the movie:
"We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocain, a multicolored universe of uppers, downers, screamers, laughers. also a quart of tequilla, a quart of rum, case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen emyls.
