Looking toward seeing your grow pics. I think to use the photo utility there is a minimum post requirement. You can still create a photo album and paste pics from there, for now.

Since my sweetness can't post pics under her account, yet, I'll post them for everyone's viewing pleasure until she has enough posts.

Week 2 of flower.

much obliged friendly viewers. sorry i can't keep this log very exciting. i thought i'd just keep it simple and informative. on that note, here are some more details about the setup...

Exhaust: 350 cfm vortex fan connected to 6" ducting
Intake: 6" passive
Temps: don't know exactly. but outdoor temps average about 15 degrees centigrade this time of year during lighting hours, and the air is being replenished once every few dozen seconds.
Humidity: don't know this exactly either, but on some nights it feels very "jungly" in there. Thank goodness for the powerful exhaust!
Air Circulation: besides the intake and exhaust, there are 2 six inch non-oscillating fans near the light.
Distance from Light: currently over 2 feet, but she is growing very fast!
Cooltube: not at the moment.

I like that it looks like she's lying on the couch... seems a reasonable thing to do, particularly for a Kush.

hey warf, good call on the couch juxtaposition, a little artistic touch :) but maybe your comment isn't entirely accurate. after all, this strain is 50% indica and 50% sativa. which reminds me, here is the description from T.H.Seeds website, for those who are interested in this particular strain...

"Meet BUKU aka the ancient treasure Burmese Kush! A short but phat plant with a flowering time of only 7 1/2 weeks, making it one of the fastest T.H. Seeds strains. To create this mean machine, we've crossed the authentic Burmese Kush with the O.G. Kush from L.A., which is without a doubt the hottest thing being passed around in Cali right now. BUKU has got that great Kush flavor & high and all a grower could wish for. Bound to become one of your garden & stash favorites. Keep that Kushline expanding!

Genetics:
Indica / Sativa Hybrid

Specifics:
Burmese Kush x O.G. Kush

Flowering Time:
Indoors: 7-8 weeks"

MrDiff, not sure how many posts are required before a newbie can post pics.

thx for the tip headshake. i agree too, my hand doesn't feel warm enough when holding it at the top of the plant under the light, but she is stretching fast enough for it not to matter too much. currently about 1.5' from the light source. check out the new pics.

here we go, week 3...

c if you can spot...

1) minor nute burn

2) how i got the plant to grow in "S" shapes rather than straight up

3) a little green monster! (hint: it's not a plant)

thanks bluntpasser...but we've got problems folks. we are now entering week 4 of flower, which is great, but there's some kind of nutrient deficiency we're not exactly sure what it is. from the research i've done it looks like calcium deficiency. could any experienced grower second that? although the plant doesn't look too bad we'd like to get this problem fixed if at all possible.

some other notes...

this 2L ice cream tub is small. this BK drinks like an irishman in a pub. i find myself changing the reservoir every day now, seeing no point in topping off with water when there's only about 1 inches worth sitting at the bottom.

we're feeding it at the GH recommended levels of 10 ml micro, 5 ml grow, and 15 ml bloom per gallon, although the reservoir is only about half a gallon. could the problem be because i'm using advanced nutrients well water micro? accidentally bought this instead of the regular formula.

one of the pics has a brace. it's actually just a toothpick wrapped with duct tape. i snapped one of the branches almost right off while trying to handle the plant, and it was only hanging from a few fibres, but within two days it seemed to fully recover and is back in action with the rest of the gang. very cool.

leaves are getting darker as the plant matures, and i expect some big changes in the next week as the buds grow in size and number.

bf is gonna post updated pics now...

thanks for stoppin by.
