Someone else on this forum not too long ago said they had a cat (I think) eat their top off their plant and said that it grew out bushy and better than expected. As long as their is some fan leaves on there alive and healthy it should start to branch from in between that stem and fan leaf.

depends on the plant ... if ya lost 3" off the top of a 4" plant, you're pretty well screwed :wtf: ... if a mid-sized plant, it should be OK ... don't fertilize it, just give it time to seal over, and resume its priorities ... :smokin:

it was about a foot and a half tall but now it is shorter. it was doing really good and until it got eatena nd now obviously isnt growing at all. the tip of the stalk where it got eaten turned brown and is slowing closing is that good? how much longer do you think this will take it isnt dieing at all but if its not going to grow anymore than it would be useless. it is an outdoor plant.

It won't "grow back" the same way that it was before, but it should bush out a bit and be fine.

yup, sounds like it ought to be OK ... probably just shocked, especially if the deer tugged on it, upset the roots ... I purposely top most of my plants, just to let them branch more ... some strains don't like it, most are OK ... :smokin:

ok thanks. yes i have heard that it will sprout two new branches instead of the normal one but it seems like a week without any sign of anything new happening that nothing will. this plant was growing very well and i dont want to see all that hard work go to waste. will this effect the yield?

It may effect the yield for the good or bad, just no way of telling until some growth starts. Wouldn't worry about it, if it grows it grows if it don't ain't much you can do to help but maybe some B1

it looks like your plant was just accidentally "topped" by that deer. If it's healthy other than that, then each of those four secondary branches should produce new growth soon and they should reach for the light and produce a cola. should be just a minor setback.
