hey all, ive been gathering things today for my outdoor grow and ive been reading from other posts/forums of people using water crystals to help keep there soil moist....anyone have any experiance with this? any good brands to use? also, i willl be growing in containers outside and i know the soil will dry out sooner then if planted in the ground. I also can only check on my plants once maybe twice a week and we dont get much rain here. any advice welcome. thanks

Twice a week should be fine for watering unless you're getting in the 90 degree range. You can always take a gallon milk jug, poke a hole in the cap, push a short length of hose in it and turn it upside down in the ground. You can buy these globe waterbottles in most garden stores too.

Don't ever neglect to water them , I've read instances where the crystals actually pull the moisture out of the plant in an attempt to rehydrate themselves .

Never messed w/ em myself . Be interested in the responses ypu get here .

if nothing else, hand-watering forces you to be present every 2-3 days, you can be watching for pests, problems, etc. ... try not to leave a permanent trail during your visits :smokin:

Water-Keep. It works awsome both inside and out. I know that we get 27% better numbers using the stuff!
