How do you guys cope with boredom besides smoking pot? I've been sitting in my room all night trying to think of something to do and the only thing I can think of is smoke pot. My social situation isn't too hot right now, not because I'm socially inept but I guess it has something to do with my circumstances right now (long story) so hanging out with friends is basically out of the question.

It's either surf the internet all night or watch movies all night or a mixture of both....who knew being bored was so tough. What do you guys do to kill your boredom?

i live by a large forest and the beach is only 5 mins away, so if i get bored i either take my dog for a walk in the forest or grab a fishing rod and go down the beach or a local lake 5 mins away for a spot of fishing, or just surf the net, watch a film or sport on tv. but i don't get bored very often, i have too many interests to keep me happily occupied.hope you manage to find something to keep you occupied mate:jointsmile:

find some hobbies man! I'm a musician so if I'm ever bored i pick up my guitar and work on some new theory. Xbox is always fun! Go out for a walk, go to the bar, take a drive. I guess I'm pretty good at keeping busy when I'm by myself because I never really feel that bored.

id rather be bored than be as hungover as i am right now....margaritas...evil, but they're soooooo good. ive been trying for years, but i still have not found the salt shaker jimmy sings about.

I'm dealing with a nasty hangover too, and the only cure is more weed

Dude, we live in a beautiful world.. how could you ever be bored, especially if you have mary jane to keep you company? If all else fails, I get stinkin' high and go on an adventure. Maybe a nature walk. If you for some reason don't like the outdoors, reading is pretty easy. If you don't like reading conventional books, go pick up a Chuck Palahniuk book. He's the broskie who wrote Fight Club. He has additional gems such as Survivor, about a survivor of a suicidal cult, or Choke, about a guy who pretends to choke in upscale restaurants so people will pay his bill. It's fucked up shit. And it's awesome.

But for real man, you should never be bored. If you're stuck in your room, you gotta have something at your disposal.. You could always grab a pen and start writing. You might surprise yourself. I didn't know I was a poet until I randomly started to write down my thoughts. Life is a cookie.

basketball is my time killer....play about 3-4 hours then take a nice shower, get out then smoke that blunt. You know it's more rewarding getting high especially after a nice workout!

Go to the beach a lot also (surf)....

If I'm at home though with nothing to do, I usually go to my parents house and spend the day over there. Every Sunday we get the family together to eat, so that's usually what I do. I'll go out in the garden with my mom sometimes and help her with the weeds. She's always complaining about doing it, so I try and lend a helping hand.

There are always something to do, just don't get so high to where you don't want to do anything. That may be the problem!

Thanks for the input guys. Ok so I've compiled a list of things to do this summer to keep me busy.

I'm going to:

Begin my retirement plan (I'm 21)
Learn as much about the in's and out's of stock exchange (because I need some cash)
Work out, which will involve running 2 miles every day and lifting weights for 2 hours every other day.
Buy a firearm (The process where I live takes forever)
buy a cell phone plan (Should help with the social situation)
Practice the LSAT
Work and save my money
And finally....finish all of those books that I started reading but never finished.

I think the moment I went to college was the moment I forgot how to have fun lol. I think because I have so much homework, I don't have time to establish a new social life where I moved and have such little free time, that I spend most of my days inside studying.

But all that's changed because it's summer now, and I have absolutely no plans until September. So now I'm facing the challenge of trying to get some sort of social life together and figuring out what to do besides study. I'm definitely going to try and make a trip to my old town, though, to visit some friends and will probably end up at a Phish concert at some point.

I know sort of what your feeling, I kind of feel this way to. But you have to do a couple of things to begin feeling better. Excersise. Do things around your neighboorhood, walk in the park.
