Is Miracle grow and worm castings too intense for seedlings?

I have some miracle grow potting soil with .21 .07 .14 mixture of nutrients. I was also going to mix in some worm castings I bought which are simply marked 1 0 0, so very strong in nitrogen I guess.

Would it be a bad idea to plant my seeds in this mix or is the soil too intense for seedlings and I should do a transplant a couple weeks after they start out?

you shouldnt add any fert. untill a few weeks after theye have sprouted.

All Miracle G products used to be taboo back in 2005 last I heard.

Just overly fortified to begin with. Those NPK numbers on the MG bags are decieving because of other stuff they "miracle-ize" their products with for most average growers who will be outdoors or in some kind of sunlight and thus get the usual watering transpiration from.

Indoors under non HID lighting - you gotta be careful how much Nitrogen (castings) you use.

Any simple pH mistaken target over 6.4 or so will get us nute lock with those castings - every single time - indoors - and under non HID lighting.

I need to correct that a bit.

There is a definite lack of preponderant info about the importance of transplanting. Stinky has nearly perfected the nearly quintessential word on the importance of transplanting.

But I think the specific zen(s) of CFL-Flo growing often do not get emphasized enough, when it comes to the inherent pace of "waterings". Too often I think indoor CFL-Flo growers get sucked into the concept of "feedings" vs. "waterings".

If your pH from start of your grow is in aimed at 6.4 tops, down to say 5.9 then you can probably keep bumpin the desired veg cycle Nitrogen boost.

Otherwise you just gotta learn or know how fast you can get the plants to drink and expire your water first.

Indoors under Flos of any kind, and in soil, NOT hydro, we have a different tiger by the tail regarding nutes.

Sorry for that. When I heard you say miracle gro my old rabbit ears just went up from like what I read on hear 4 years ago. MG mighta milded out their product line since then for all I know.

Don't mind me. I'm just in a panic cause I think I gotta nute lock prob goin on and a really stupid possible root rot delay on my 2 girls, cause even after a full 3x fresh - no-nutrient - flush, two days aftewards they still are not recovering.

Seriously sir, what kind of lights are you running, may I ask?

I'm doing a small single plant grow in a 1x1x3 container, roughly. 100 watt HPS light with 9600 lumens. I figure that's enough for 1 square foot of growing space.
