Hey everyone, thanks for looking...I got some bs going down with my precious babies. I would consider myself a pretty avid grower, but I hope this is just a n00b mistake. In need of a pro opinion if you got one. I have been fighting whatever it is for a good crop and a half and I cant put my finger on it. Here is what I am running....

Hydro (Top feed and DWC hybrid)
4 Plants about week two of flowering (clones vegged maybe a week lol)
Strain: Pure Power Plant
Rockwool 4x4 cubes surrounded by hydroton in 8inch "basket"
Advanced Nutrients (Grow Micro Bloom) total ppm around 1000
Additives: Sensizyme, bud candy, Big bud,
Non Adv Nut additives: Botanicare Cal Mag and Silica, Mad Farmer Micro
Every three days spray with Liquid Light (Wet betty used instead on penatrator)

( Pretty much all reccomended doses from bottle)

Ph kept between 5.5 and 6.3 at all times
10 gallon res, w/two airstones
1/4 mosquito dunk floating for killing bastard fly larvae that eat my roots!
Runing ufo + two 35 watt cfls for these babes.
Temps around 80-85
Assuming res is about the same (could be a potential problem)
Humidity around %60 (i know its a little high but its all i got for now)
Oscillating fan for airflow
200 cfm vortex fan exhaust

My diognosis: Calcium deficient...but I have been consistently adding generous amounts of calmag (but not more than the recommended dosage)
At first I though it was the damn fungas gnats but now i think otherwise because they are taken care of.

I feel like I have done everything for these babes and yet they still look sad :( Life is rough but that is why there is tha ganj ;)

Last pic is a more mature PPP plant (<------is that redundant!?) haha

Haha almost forgot one of the most important things....f it happens....
I use exclusively RO water because my tap water reads in at about 550 ppm and 8+ ph. Details....Details.... (thinking r0 water might be the problem, but I add calmag and MAd Farmer micro so......) And I am not putting my cities death water into the res, my babes would bitch slap me

I had some plants that looked a lot like this when their roots rotted off. How do your roots look? Other than that, the burt edges and upwards curling makes me think over fertilization. I used to run 1000-1200 PPM in my E&F system and was fine but have found that if I go over 800 in DWC, they get burned up really quickly. I also had to switch to RO water from my 350 PPM tap water and have had nothing but success so far, other than some new slight yellowing, so I really don't think its the water. How much CalMag are you using? I use CalMax which is basically the exact same thing except it has a little bit of nitrogen, and I use 1 tsp per gallon. Hopefully you get this figured out, those ladies look pretty rough. :(

Yea I think it could potentially be nute burn...although I have run my ppm's way higher before, hmmmmmmmm. taking it down to 700 as we speak. Roots look fantastic and white btw....no signs of root rot thus far. Thanks a lot for the input, sometimes you even over look the simplest problems...

hmmmmmm...burning still happening if that is in fact what it is...Its only been a day but the nutes are down to 640ppm so I am thinking i should see something improving...new leaves look very healthy and old ones still dying off at same pace. All I need it 2 cents from someone, anyone willing to give it up?

I would start by double checking your meter, make sure it is reading correctly. Anytime you change anything you probably wont see a change for 3 days to a week. It looks like overnute to me also, like the salts in your nutes are drying out your plants. You said your using advanced nutrients micro, and mad farmer micro? probably better to use one or the other, if they do the same thing.

Yea for sure....My meter is not exactly top of the line, but the ppms are in the right range according the the advanced nutrients chart...I am on the "light feeding" program and it still gave em nute burn....kinda f'ed up AN would do that. Their ppm for the light schedule is 1200 which is a few hundred ppms over what gave me nute burn. lame...

As for the doubled up micro issue, the mad farmer micro is a humic acid solution which helps uptake nutrients (possibly fluvic acid also, but I think that it helps roots which is not the intended function). The micro is meant for "N.U.T.S." Nutrient Up Take Solution.
So I dont think that this is what AN micro does...its guranteed analysis is:

Nitrogen (n) ....................................... 2.20%
(0.30% Ammoniacal Nitrogen)
(1.90% Nitrate Nitrogen)
Available Phosphate (P2O5) ............. 1.10%
Soluble Potash (K2O) ........................ 6.70%
Magnesium (Mg) ................................ 0.59%
(0.59% Water Soluble Magnesium)
Sulfur (S) .......................................... 1.01%
(1.01% Combined Sulfur)

When the hydro guy suggested this to me because they were out of humic acid from AN, it got me thinking for a while why I was about to use two things called micro.

Anyways, yea thanks for the post man, I am going to rinse off the good old ppm meter with some RO and see if she is in need of cleaning more often.
Peace all, blazing with a toast to all you guys loving weed

Every three days spray with Liquid Light (Wet betty used instead on penatrator) ?

Watch out for foliar feed spray it can burn them up quick also.

Yea for sure dude....The foliar spray is about at 1/2 solution, do you think that is still too strong for how small they still are??? Last time I gave them liquid light they just stretched to the light like there was in invisible force pulling their leaves up to the light hahah. Currently playing Bob marley and a little Neil young for them right now and then I am going to spray them down with Liquid Light (called sonic bloom for those not familiar). Well, you are suppose to play bird noises for it...but I think Bob and Neil can do them justice haha. Gotta give my babies the irie vibes
