So I want to mount a 4' T5 HO fixture daylight bulbs on either wall ( verticle ) and then put a clamplight over the top with a Y splitter with 2 Soft white CFL. That would give me the desired 12k lumens I need

or

I was goin to mount two 3' HO fixtures daylight bulbs on either wall ( verticle )with the CFLs on the top soft white. Either way ill still get the desired lighting but i would get more light with this.

Ive heard good things about mixing both spectrums and cant wait to get it in action.

Which method should i go with or should i do something completely different.
My space is 1.5 X 1.5 X 4' and i dont want to go with a MH or HPS. T5 is the best flourescent to go with right?

Thanks:smokin:

Is the 4' just a single bulb? The T% will be a little brighter than the cfl's so I think I would swap them.

I agree with killerweed... Use your brightest light source for your overhead light. Side fills are great... The more usable spectrum you can give your girls the merrier. I use a variety in my grow with a 1K Solar Max Dual Arc, a 6 bulb, 4 ft T5 fixture (4 bloom & 2 grow bulbs) and two UVB T12's. My T5 side fills really help not only with lower bud development but also the girls' overall health through the bloom cycle.

Try this on for size.....
I have 10 CFLs (23w) and 10 T-12 fixtures in the cab. been gatting great results. I use a box fan to blow fresh air into the cab and maintain a good growing temp.

high bro, stick with the t5's on the top and the sides, they put out more lumens
than cfl's, plus, they run cooler.
