Whats up. I've been looking around here and can't find the instructions that I have been looking for. I'm trying to make just a 2 plant hydro setup. I don't really know much more about hydro growing other than you need a light proof res. and a pump and thats it....lol....please help.

Why don't you try a hempy bucket....Look around the threads for that or someone who has a hempy bucket grow. They will point you in the right direction!

Remember, once you go hydro you can never return to the other side. LOL

On the hand you will never want to.

How much do you have to invest in a setup ?

This is what holds most peeps back. You can do many things cheap when you see how easy it is but you need some things that cost a good bit even for a small setup. A good PH meter a TDS meter and a light and ventilation, maybe an A/C and nutrients. It's all about control.

Bongheads do not grow for themselves they just dream about it.

We do it out of the need for meds that don't make you sick or have side effects and pure control.

Worst side effect is the munchies for me. When the pharmacutical manufactures can say that I will quit.

Well, I don't know if you have seen my indoor/cabinet grow, but I don't have a job (yet) just got done with college and are pretty much trying to get some free buds with a little work. I have spent like 50 bux on my grow rooms, but it was from little stuff, like helping my mom or mowing the grass for old ppl and such. I really just want a 2 plant system, like bozo's imaginary garden, just about 1/3 the size, lol.

high bro, all you need to do is build your self a DWC bucket and watch your plants
explode! keep in mind that hydro requires the grower to pay closer attention to
his plants for if even one variable in your environment goes bad and you don't
notice it right away, you can lose a whole crop in a matter of hours.

that being said, a DWC bucket is easy as hell to build very inexpensively plus,
there really isn't that much that can fail as there are no moving parts, just a
single air-pump to oxygenate the res, that's it.

you'll also need to pay closer attention to your ph and your nute levels although
with experience, you will learn to read your plants and know when they are hungry
just by lookin', the meters will just prove it.

anyway, if you look in my sig you will see my imaginary garden, that is the tale
of my journey from total hydro noob to 1/4lb per bin (i harvested 1 bin every
2 weeks until i went back to the dirt ala DrBud).

you should also do a search for DWC here as there are many excellent threads
devoted to DWC growing, with lots of info to help you do it too.

btw, here's a couple pics of my final bins (prototype #3), heavy duty black
plastic so light proof from jump street and with a capacity of 27 quarts.

1) prototype #2 (note the taped up coke bottles, lol)
2) prototype #3, the final solution (available at Lowes for $9.99 each)
3) early root porn
4) a few week in

if your dough is that tight my friend, i'd suggest you stick with dirt until you start
reaping the benefits of what you already have going.

personally, now that i'm self sufficient, i have more money in my pocket as i don't
need to buy weed, plus, i'm able to sell my excess to my friends, i make a little
cash and my friends get med quality buddage for almost the same money as
they were paying for middie crap.

also, dirt growing is much more forgiving than hydro so is always the best way
to learn what your plants need, then, when you go hydro, you'll already know
how to read the signs your plants give you when they are hungry or under
stress.

lol, maybe even more importantly for you, you don't have to spend any dough
on equipment to do it, lol, you're already doin' it!
