It might help if you posted what model/brand of vape you have...

I'm pretty sure with most vapes, you load your chamber, apply to heat, and then draw in the vapor as needed.. if your not taking more than 30 seconds between hits, you should be fine just leaving it at temp and inhaling when you want...

it freakin has a fan that blows smoke thru the whip, why would you need to remove the bowl?

-shakeActually, if you're using the fan with the whip, you WOULD want to remove the bowl between hits since you'd constantly be losing vapor with the hot air streaming through the bowl. Using the whip in passive mode (no forced air), it's fine to leave the bowl on between hits, as long it's not like 30 min.

Wouldn't turning the fan on and off between hits put more wear and tear on that switch and fan motor. Seems like for future reliability, removing the bowl between hits would be a better option, no?

If thats all it takes to make the fan switch and motor go out is alittle use... For $300 they need a better product:hippy: I should be able to use the unit as I want for years

So you just leave the fan motor going for the entire vape??

I have seen 2 of my friends break 1 of the glass bowls (mabey thats why the manufacturer gives you 2:D)...thats 1 of the weak spots of this vape...the small hole for the hot air and its glass pieces

I have used my fan and switches on my volcano daily for 6 years.....it still works today...the heating element itself stays on 15-18 hous a day

Just turn the fan off inbetween hitsI didn't even think of that. Wouldn't be a problem for me though. I absolutely hate fan assisted whip hits. I like total control of my draws.

I have used my fan and switches on my volcano daily for 6 yearsThat's probably where the extra $240 for the 'cano comes in. The Extreme is not nearly as reliable as the S&B vape. I don't have any idea of the percentage, but there have many Extremes that have crapped out for one reason or another, and the digital circuitry is a big culprit. The fan, being a simple mechanical device should be more reliable, and I don't recall anyone saying their fan has failed. But then if the controller dies, doesn't matter if the fan works or not. I do believe that Arizer intends to be very reasonable on the price of repairs after the warranty expires. Won't cost you $250 for a controller repair like with a Vapezilla.

No need to remove the bowl....no need to use the fan if you don't want either. Owned my extreme for about a year now. Effing fantastic! Only problem I've had was my fault when I dropped the thing. Glass heater cover inside broke, but thats it. Easily repaired/replaced and Arizer was amazing to deal with. Spoke to the rep personally on the phone and had my parts in 2days. And for vapefiend - the controller is not required to use any of the funtions, it just means I don't even have to move, lol.
