Can giving nutrients to MJ in the early Vegetative stage (about 3 weeks) cause its growth to stunt?

From clone or seed? would also depend on the ppm.

yes,as well as ph problems.over feeding though usually has signs of sickness and in conjunction with the stunted growth.

I'd have to say no. I usually start out early with a feeding program, some what light. The only way you could stunt the growth is, if you over feed the plant or give it a super salty drink.

most nutes leave a huge ammount of salt buildup.wether in hydro or soil.over feeding will slow growth drastically.i have 3 of 12 identical clones i was experimenting with and all 3 are 6 inches tall. the other 9 are are about 18 inches.if your looking for a nute company with much less salt deposites you could try canna.expensive stuff but awesome.

Thanks guys, I found out my prob i don't think it was feeding. I had the lights to far and the poor little guys were stretching their stems instead of growing elsewhere. I have sense moved my lights to about 2" from the tops and they've actually started growing like crazy.
But another quick question. Right now I'm using 20-20-20 Schultz brand liquid concentrate. Does anyone know if this one has a high salt content or if its an okay one to use? I bought it because unlike most plant foods it has a high amount of Magnesium (MJ loves this shit right?), also i was told 20-20-20 was good to increase growth rate in the veg stage.

most growers overfeed their plants, badly ... go easy, try 1/2 dilution, once a week only ... if someone forced you to overeat every day, you'd get sick, real fast ... Patience is the Key, not more nutrients :smokin:

My plants need watering about once every 3 days, should i just leave the nutes out on the other days i water? Also, how well does adding a Teaspoon of Epsom Salts to your water before giving it to the plants work?

maybe you should try getting nutes with more N than P for the veg. stage and when you get to the flower give it something with a lot more P and little N...
You should give it nutes I'd suggest 1/4 strength to see how they react to them and then gradually build up to full strength. Also you should only give them nutes probably every other watering as to avoid salt buildup which is irritating to fix once it happens...May cause your plants to lockup which you want to avoid!

I'm a canna guy and don't worry about it. But I always keep some Clearex around in case I need a flush. It will flush the salts right out. Every 2 or 3 weeks should work fine. I favor this product because it requires only 100% runoff. A water flush requires about 5 to 10 times that amount.
