View Full Version : I believe that I have found the answer to the nation's employment & marriage problem!

Given that the lack of employment opportunities stems from the existance of more people than jobs, and that the high rate of divorce can be associated with money and child rearing concerns, the answer is obvious.

Take men out of the workplace.

The average woman can be in and out of child delivery within hours with modern medicine, and thanks to better prenatal care they can remain in the workplace quite late into pregnancy without having to take a maternity leave. Thus a woman can remain at work even throughout the process of having a child.

Leaving the men at home would give us somebody to take care of our children and to keep house, and if we limit the education they're allowed to have, say, only to twelfth grade, the lack of education and means of self-support would keep them in a marriage and lower divorce rates.

lol I have no problem whatsoever with staying at home and being supported by my wife

only problem is I make twice as much money as her, and she's got like 6 years of college (I finished my high school thru correspondence last year)

where does that figure into the equation?

besides, ammie, what you are saying is that men should be oppressed like women were so wrongfully in recent times. now, in this time where equality is supposed to be the rule, you want to go back to the old way of doing things?

perhaps this is the future Ammie has in mind:

Given that the lack of employment opportunities stems from the existance of more people than jobs
If there were more jobs than people, either the business wouldn't be run at all, or one person, who was already managing a whole other business by himself, would be forced to manage more than one.

and that the high rate of divorce can be associated with money and child rearing concerns, the answer is obvious.
I think that's only a small part of the problem. I think the majority of families realize they just aren't right for eachother; there're a hundred reasons someone'd get a divorce.

The average woman can be in and out of child delivery within hours with modern medicine, and thanks to better prenatal care they can remain in the workplace quite late into pregnancy without having to take a maternity leave. Thus a woman can remain at work even throughout the process of having a child. Take men out of the workplace
Okay well, I don't see a point to prove why we shouldn't just take WOMEN out of the workplace. Makes more sense, doesn't it? Since uh.. Guys don't have to have kids, but if a woman was working on her due date, she'd still have to give up the few hours of work to have the kid. No matter what, the man will probably drop whatever he's doing to witness the birth, so yeah. Not to mention the fact that a child needs to breast feed... The guy wouldn't be much of a substitute for a mother.

Hey Im all for it I worked two jobs for a few years my wife worked too but I pushed my health too far and ended up having a heart attack so shit I really wouldnt mind takin a break from work and staying with the kid....tell you the truth I really would like to work from home anyway...telecommuting might be great I mean if you can stay focused...

Lets face it the man going out to work while june cleaver stays at home was a lifestyle of the 50's we all know much has changed since then...

Especially if the wife is knockin back a great salary with a great gig or her own business..

the only problem with it is that I come from a traditional background and I believe I must always work to provide.....

I guess it just depends on how you define "provide"

ill provide you w/ some dick ammie and then send u back off to work.

truly though this is bull shit, w/ all the wars the men have had to fight over the past 80 yrs. we've been broken down, coming home injured, in boxes, or mentally unstable due to what we've had to endure, thats when the women took advantage and are trying to take it even further as ammie is, seriously, go grab some balls and do some suckin,
know your place, sorry if this is harsh but it has to be done

I think Ammie just posted an e-mail she rcvd. Seems to be the extent of creating this topic. Pretty sure that's why she made no real follow ups to the very valid arguments presented here.

And penguin was banned for nonsense topics??

Yeah, the mods definitely don't single people out.

I enjoy long walks to the liquor store. I love stuffed animals, but only those that are mounted or sing the Macarena. I like holding hands when crossing streets and then letting go once we reach the opposite corner, as if to say: "I'm OK now." I like playing mind games like everyone's favorite: "What was his name again?" or the infamous "Where am I?" I enjoy the feeling of water running out of my nose 3 hours after I'm done surfing, especially when it occurs in a crowd of hot guys. It's an obvious statement that I surf...or that I need to blow my nose. I like responding with "You look full to me" when my fat sisters say "Man, I'm hungry." I like using the word "puppy" (i.e. "Let's start this puppy." or plural: "This one's for all the puppies.") I love travelling to foreign and exotic places like Guam. I like it when I tell little kids not to do something, but they do it anyway, then they get hurt and start crying, and I look at them and say "Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..."

Thats all good Ammie.I have studied and worked part time from when my son was born.It might sound selfish but i couldnt go to work full time with a newborn as i feel thats when they need there mother the most.I will stay home with him until he goes to school as i want to be his main caregiver.I would not be happy at all if my sons father stayed home.We were together for 5 years and he would not marry me because he was married before me.Fuck marriage anyway theres more important things than signing a piece of paper.

Absolutely ridiculous idea! Sure, females could easily take the jobs, but the world would go to hell if it was up to Males to raise children and keep the household in shape. WHo'd change the diapers?!? Men are incapable of just such a task, and therefore it is better if females stayed barefoot and naked in my kitchen cooking and cleaning after my sloppy self.

There would be world wars if we relied on Males to do the girly type stuff. We'd take all the shortcuts possible, and we'd start fights with the neighbors. This is an utterly disgraceful idea and I'm shocked that someone with your intelligence would even suggest such a thing. Men running the household? C'mon now... really...

I totally agree jacquelyne......marriage is just a name change and a different way to file your taxes. If things are fine without marriage, don't mess it up. Things do change after you say "I do"
But either way......I kind of like things the way they are......I hate going to work, so I say let the men keep working so we can stay home and get blazed. I'll carry my end of the responsibilities, but I want the bare minimum. Not a big sports fan so you men can keep that job.........but just know we're fully capable of doing it if we wanted to......o.k. well i'm not....but there are women out there who are.... lol I'm too high all the time, I'd get hit in the head with the ball... ..not good
