Hello all!

I've been running six 5-gallon buckets as bubble buckets for a solid month now. I placed the air pumps (3 of them) on top of styrofoam and I still have an INSANELY loud humming noise downstairs underneath the room! I feel a slight vibration under my feet when I'm working in the room with them!

This is getting annoying! If we can hear it downstairs, chances are the neighbors can. No problems have arisen, yet!

What would you all recommend to stop the buzzing? I can't sound proof the room until after this harvest, but to be more realistic, I can't do that until the next harvest...

I'm looking to start taking 20 clones every two weeks, and having a harvest every two weeks as well. I haven't been able to get it all planned out yet, though, as my current grow is stopping me from going with a 80+ plant site bubble bucket system (that was wordy... sorry!). Any tips on the noise and a perpetual harvest in a 10x9 room? Thanks everyone!!!

That's not a bad idea! It would be a lot of air hose to run around, though.

I didn't mention that I think a lot of the noise is coming from the airstones creating the bubbles... I felt a lot of the vibration coming from the buckets.

Why do I feel so much animosity from people with bucket pics for avatars?

Try better pumps? You didn't make a recommendation and don't know what I have!

If the noise is the stones, maybe hanging them off the bottom or go with a flexable air tube

you think we play ruff ?, then you won't want to play marbles with us:chainsaw:

just ignore the blood on the floor and gleen the useable info for what its worth

try setting buckets on top of a beach towel or something to absorb some vibration before it transfers to the floor

I had the same problem you need to find away to adjust the amount of air presure going to air stone. I clamped the main air pipe from my air pump i still get enough bubbles and vritually no noise.
