This is a test, I'm not sure if I'm about to do this correctly. If I have, this is a part of a 3 picture sequence that was originally intended as an animation.

The second is a weed poster I drew for Headstuff.

Yes, the central figure is rendered.

I used to draw computer games a long time ago, each of the sections in the below was originally drawn in 320x200 resolution and 32 colours. It's intended as a background screen for choosing your character in a game.

There wasn't any digitising when I drew them, everything had to be drawn pretty much by eye a pixel at a time. A picture then usualy took between 2/4 days to create. The bottom right one (of the 4) has been touched up in PS, but they're pretty much as they were drawn back then.

The rightmost picture is done entirely in PS.

I don't use 3D, I'm really just a pixel pusher:) I stole the pre-rendered body and re-lit it.

I actually modeled it after my own custom 85 flying v that my father and I built. I love my guitar. no joke, I sleep with it every night. my ex girlfriend would get pissed because i would turn my back to her and cuddle up with my axe. lol

Ahhhhh....I can empathise. I've got an early Ibanez Artist that plays like a dream. I used to live on a holiday island of the UK coast, I was in bands a long time playing for tourists and locals during the winter. The usual stuff, rock covers (Be-bop Deluxe, Stones, Montrose, etc.) I miss it now. For some reason, no idea why, even though I played rock, when I fool around now at home it's a much more Reinhardt feel, and I'm not a big fan of Jazz.

it's because music comes from your soul. it's not about what you think you want to hear, it's about what you are inside, what you need to hear. playing others music is fine, but playing your own is the soundtrack to you. it's your soul coming out in musical form.

often, people spend time thinking about what they want as opposed to accepting and making the best out of what they truly are.

i'm not saying you are "that type" of person, i'm just trying to explain my previous point.

i know from experience. i make music myself, and had an idea of what type i wanted to make and the sound i wanted. but what always came out was totally different. as i continued to grow and expand my sound that's the way i found myself going. and that is part of who i am.


as far as the freelance work. it would just be a couple of still images for my websites. one is a music website, for posting work, collaborating etc etc. the other is gonna be a news/information type of show with a cannabis twist.

damn, that awesome! i just have to get it all sowed up (legal wise etc) and i'll be ready to spill all of the beans.

but in general, it's a show dedicated to current events/politics/entertainment/tech/advocacy/legalization etc. etc.

there is gonna be smoking, different segments and stuff like that. none of it is set in stone and i would love to work with others on it. that would be awesome!

not to mention it can be used as a platform to get music/books/art out to the masses. and with a topic such as cannabis, it will eventually hit the masses!

i'm gonna need help. i'm gonna have to find a core group of people to get this shit started.

i think this could be the start of something big. man, i love this site and all of the people on it.

like minds! so many things to do, so little time!

I already am doing. You also have a new fan in Denmark too. Realy, very, very good and worthy of alisten by every member who reads this message. I am an old and cynical rocker and it impressed me no end - this is good, fresh and interesting. Best of luck in wherever you go with it.

Tracks 2and 3 in particular are really good BTW.

It's always been my intention to try and draw a decent range of stoner posters as a set to sell. One day:)

I just found this thread and am currently listening to your group MelT with a friend and we're both thoroughly enjoying this and I would LOVE a copy of this. Seriously, I love this and I am NOT a rock and roll person.

Hey Fluid69, genericpeople's music video is sweet. I really like it! It reminded me a lot of Modest Mouse's Float On. I don't know if you see any similarity between the two.
