Drip system questions for my opp

hey got any ideas for a drip system fro watering my beauty's this year. Just want some insight if any of you have done er yet. going to have round 40 in the ground the middle of may and want to construct a watering system so I can save on gas. Want to hear from some of the experts and this might help other people as well.

what I am planning on doing is using a gravity fed drip system. Starting with a good sized tub for each system bout 20 plants per system.

Step 1- Install 50-100gallon tank up hill from sites boring a hole into the bottom and glueing hose into hole.

Step 2-Install battery operated timer to hose from tub setting it to water 2 to 3 times daily (any suggestions on how many times to water?)

Step 3-Install hoses from battery timer to main lines for drip irrigation all still heading down hill.

Step 4-Weave main lines through intended planting sites and cap off the ends while burying barely beneath the soil.

Step 5-Install tee's into main line and add small drip feeding lines to plant sites.

Step 6 test ph at end of lines and adjust balance to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.

What do you guys think. Will it work. We will find out.
