I know the ideal humidity is around 50%, the highest I've had mine is 40% after it rained for 2 days, but it wants to stay around 30%, and even sometimes down to 25%. I've tried leaving a butter bowl with water and even just spaying water in my grow area. it's a pretty small space, about 3'x3'. how low can it go before I should be concerned? and does anybody have any better tips or tricks?

I don't think low humidity is ever a big problem. My last grow averaged 25-45% humidity. HID lighting really drops it down. You do end up watering more often. It's less of a problem, than over 55% humidity is...IMO. Mold starts forming above 50%.
Some of the desert growers...have no problems at 10% humidity....

Mine gets down to 35 or 40% with lights on and no problem. I have to use a dehumidifier when lights are out to keep in the 50% range.
