how much longer until i can tell if its a male or female?
when should i move up on the nutrients?(general hydro flora series) (http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/feeding_charts/GH_KeepItSimple_Recirculating.pdf)
are the leaves supposed to be somewhat curled like they are?
some leaves are burnt should i leave them?

How old is the plant? How many nodes? Plants usually show preflowers around 4-5 wks and could take a bit longer depending on many variables. What is their growing environment like? Lights? Soil?

the plant is about 2 and a half weeks old. there are 8 nodes(i think). growing environment is in pics 75-80*F all day. lights 4 26watt cfls running 24 hours. and growing medium is perlite.
are nodes just coming off the stock?
im still on seedling on the nutrient chart.

you should see preflowers about a week or two after you change your lighting schedule to 12/12 unless you have a strain which grows with 20/4 or 24/24 like some dwarfs/lowryder plants do. But you should change it to 12/12 and get back in about a week or so  Either way, GL and hope it's a beautiful lady:jointsmile:

I can't think of many reasons to just use that medium, then again I am no expert. I would say that the roots are not going to really like changes to harder material when you transplant but I am sure it can be done. I would assume Perlite and vermiculite would be a good mix and try for a gritty sandy texture but not sure about using a medium which sole/main purpose is to help drainage. One thing this color blind guy can say is that the color of your plant is nice. Never used one of those tents like you have and I will be following your grow a bit to check it out, looks nice and tidy..

I'd go with "mild-growth" or "growth" schedule and keep your eye out for tip burn. Make sure you have decent ventilation and don't keep the lights too close. 1 small CFL about 2-3 inches above should be enough for now. Also, switch to 18/6 light cycle. I find 24/0 is beneficial only if the plant is in 100% health. What's the pH level? how often do you change the solution? Do you have enough bubbles? What is water level like?
Perlite should be ok. It's actually a great medium in the right setup.

Ph is about 5.8/.9
i change the water about once a week if not sooner
there seems to be enough bubbles do you know of a strong and quiet air pump?
water level is about 1-1.5" below basket.

if you are talking about the curling leaves problem it was not enough magnesium in the nutrients. i was told to add more bloom then grow(general hydroponics flora series) and in a few days they were un curled.
if your talking about the other two problems they're not fixed. I've had no comments on them and I'm just gonna assume that its nutrient burn and cut down on the nutrients and see what happens:)

Hey, I had earlier talked about transplanting I for some reason figured you were using a soil method... sorry Hope things get figured out for you.. it only gets harder to wait when things really start to look great, I am about ready to either climb walls or pluck some buds off my plants lol...I hate waiting

ugh, you have no idea how tempting it is to want to pick the buds off with the first sign of any milky trichomes :wtf: But I just tell me self the ol' saying, "patience is a virtue." Remember that and you'll make it through....Also don't forget there is still the drying and curing process which takes up at least another three weeks!

It takes about a week or two after you change to flower to find out what the sex of your plant is.
