I was wondering what the white chalky residue on my hydyoton is? I assume it may be salts. I am using GH flora grow ,GH flora bloom and GH micro 2.5 ml per gallon in the seedling stage. Is this residue harmfull? My babys look healthy but concerned that this may change PH is maintained at 5.8. I started with distilled water therefore there should not be salts. Need some experts to comment please.:thumbsup:yea bra!!

Yep = salts / nutes .
Once it's bad enough you see a difference in the plants = flush the medium by pouring ph adjusted water through the medium and discard the water as it runs out the bottom of the upper container .

It's only become a problem for me once as far as nute build up / lock out .

If your using distilled water you need to add calmag+.

Whats up crispi long time no see.

Cal Mag + is an additive containing calcium and magnesium which distilled / bottled / R.O water is lacking .
