Water and a sponge work good, that's all I do. If there slimy you have a light leak into your res most likely, so find that and you won't have to wash them.

Let them sit over night in H2O2 it will come off by itself, using a brush may force the crap deeper into the crevases.

I used to be an airstoner but just keeping the hoses underwater and as close to the bottom as possible makes the pump work less and bigger bubbles mix up the water better.
If you are using ones with a flat top you could just run the pump while scraping and rinsing.
The ones that are just a big blob on the end of the hose are really disposable and about buck each at Walmart.

Dip in Muratic acid for a few minutes and than rinse off. Where rubber gloves.

Actually use lime away instead of Muratic acid is now what my manufacture recommends. He said the acid will not harm the stone but any plastic fittings can be harmed over time from the acid
