Around India there are heaps of dope plants growing wild everywhere. The Indian's don't seem to notice them but I sure do. I've never grown weed before so I don't know what to look for. I've smoked it but never actually grown it. Also it would be very hard for me to have any privacy so as to allow me to dry the buds. So I was wondering.
Would it be possible just to eat the buds straight off the bush? This might sound like a stupid question, but there are so many of them and no one will miss them. I'll attach a photo of one of the smaller plants. Most of them are around 6-8 feet and have never been looked after so I have no idea if they are alright for smoking or anything. As I said I know very little about all this.
Would it be possible to grab a whole lot of buds off the plant and just eat them?
And would the buds even be any good seeing as they ahve just been growing wild for however many years?
Thanks

Just don't expect much!
First, it is not dried- much of the weight is water.
Second, the THCA is changed to THC by the heat from smoking. THCA doesn't get you high (does have some medical value though).
Third, the genetics- cannabis ranges from hemp with zero THC to "killer weed". What you have growing wild is likely somewhere in between the two extremes.
I did watch a program once about an African shaman. As he was walking through the forest, he snagged a bit of bud from a cannabis plant growing by the trail, and ate it as he walked along. There is someone who goes by "Eatcannabisraw" on another site. So it is not unheard of to eat cannabis from the plant. However, I think that it simply will not get you high as toking it.
As for, which plant? Let your fingers help you decide. As a general rule, the stickier, the better! Your eyes should help, too. Look for trichs on the buds. More is better. The little hairs from the buds should be reddish. Look at some photos.
And you have a problem drying it in a hot climate? You can't manage to hang some buds from a hanger and stick it in a closet for a day or two? Or dry it on top of the fridge? Or in an open shoebox under your bed ? :wtf:
Hmmmmmm... just how old are you, kid?

So basically it wont do much unless it is dried?
Lets just say I'm not living anywhere and with anyone that can discover that I have any.
I may be able to dry some however it grows in sort of public places so it will be hard to grab a decent amount and take it home.
When I looked at the beds there didn't appear to be any decent ones. I mean there don't appear to be any hairs or anything. Do the plants go through cycles every few months or something? Should I wait until this lot of buds is more mature and looks like the bud you'd buy off a dealer? Or is this just the way the wild stuff is growing?
I'll attempt to take a decent amount and bring it home... What should I do with it once I have some? I don't have anywhere I could "hang it"... I could maybe put it in a small cardboard box and store it somewhere that nobody could find it. Then I'd ahve to get it out after a few days and it should be dry right? I won't be able to smoke it, there is nowhere I could get away with it.
So If I did just bring some home and dry it for a day or 2 and then eat it would it be much more worthwhile then just eating some off the plant? I wish there was some way I could smoke it but that really isn't possible at the moment.

Wow your land sounds as funny as our land. Haha grows from the earth but cant be smoked!
Just pull a hand full of nugs (the flowers) off the bush and eat them. You will most likely get high for a couple hours unless the plant is really young.
And why cant you smoke it? Cut it off the bush, throw in a paper bag, wait a few days, crumble and roll. how old are you?

It might taste good. If it goes to seed the seeds are very nutritious, and I love the way they taste. I should try to find some at my local health food store, my bagseed just leaves me hungrier. If you want to try to get high, make some bhang. It needs to be cooked to get you high, assuming the plant is even making thc. Why not ask a local where to get bhang? There's probably someone selling it in town. I'd like to drink some real authentic Indian bhang sometime. Sounds delicious.

Those Plants are males, You can tell by the little pollen sacs (balls) at the nodes, Females have pistils, Also Females are the gender(??) that produce the buds that you smoke, Or in your case eat.
