Marijuana Use May Shrink the Brain?

My mom has been having bad headaches these past few days and cant get rid of them. She finally decided to go to the hospital and they done a CT Scan. What they found was her brain has shrunk to the size of a 75 year old womans, she is only 46. They are going to be transporting her to a better hospital so she can see some specialists. I decided to google brain shrinkage and found this on WebMD. Im pretty sure that Cannabis is not the reason for hers, she doesnt smoke very often at all, but I did find it interesting and thought you guys might like to check it out. What do you think? Do you know any studies that contradict this one?

My mom was released today. The reason her brain shrunk was because of a vitamin deficiency mainly B12. She had gastric bypass surgery 7 years ago and since she doesn't take any vitamins like she is suppose it shrunk her brain. Since that surgery restricts what she absorbs so she will be doing injections.

The Dr. done alot of blood work and found out she almost od'd on aspirin! She just kept eating goody powders because she couldn't get rid of her headache and took way too many.

I'm pretty sure Australia is one of the nations working hard on the good old drug war too. You have to follow the money trail on any medical experiments. There really is no ethics in the scientific community any more. They print whatever results help the people that payed for the research.

Yeah I guess it's too late but I was gonna say there's no way any amount of weed would shrink your brain that much. It MAY shrink certain parts (which I doubt highly) but not your whole brain lol.

And tell her to be careful on that aspirin. Weed is better for you. Otherwise there's other alternatives if she still has pain that don't fuck up your liver, codeine, oxycodone etc.

I would be looking into holistic and Chinese medicine. If it natural it's good.

Getting a non bias study done on cannabis is very hard. And when you do get one that clearly points to cannabis being helpful, and non harmful, you will get hoards of people trying to say its hogwash and just dismiss it. Its sad really.
