Good Day, I am totally new to growing. I have license for 2 ppl and growing 96 plants, in BC Canada. We are the Surrey Compassion Club, located in Surrey BC. :hippy::hippy::hippy:ants on March 4 and they seem to not be growing in height, in spite of the fact that new leaves are growing from above Rockwool.
I have had many problems, yellow plants, then yellow and brown around leaves. Now still yellow around outside of leaves. Nuet problems, so now have gone to 20 - 20- 20 plants food only, and hope fixes problem.

I should not have started with hydro, right off the bat. But now I am here, so must go on. be.
I have 4 lights 1 and 1/2 feet above plants. Keep temp at around 80 degrees.
Have 3 4 Pvc pipes at 8 feet, all connected at ends so to drain in one direction. Have 6 inch PVC Pipe sits on top of 4 inch, with drain holes. Water 4 times per day for 10 minutes. Lights are 450 set at 18 hours.

Plants that are in soil have suffered same fate as others, but seem to be growing at a good rate

The clones sat after first leaves came, for about 3 weeks before could be planted in Rockwool, so plants are over 2 months old and some are not even 8inches high.

Should I say no more hydro and just go with soil or even can I now transfer safely to soil and what will end result be???

Any help would be appreciated very much.

First off , wish I could come help you. To be legal is all I want.

Pic's are not very good. Seems with that type of system the roots would clog it up. It may not seem like it is but can you open it to see ? What do roots look like. What nutrients are you using ? 20-20-20 does not sound good.

A bro of mine wanted to try a dif way of drip where the open drip line was put into the bottom of the netpot. We started with well rooted clones. A month went by and not much growth but looked healthy. Then root rot set in and we could not nail it down. We did away with the drip and just went bubblers and over came the rot. However it would of taken another month to recover so we scrapped the grow having more rooted clones ready. Upon taking the old plants out we found the main root of each plant had grown up into the 1/4 inch drip line 2 to 4 inches. Barely any water coming out but enough to keep the plant healthy but restricted bad. Like Bonsai.

Hydro is just so much better and faster for me. Maybe check out some grow logs. Help is here we just need more info.

Thanks for the reply so fast.

I pulled one of the good plants today, and the roots are wild, lots of roots, maybe to much so.??
I started out with General Hydroponics Flora Grow 2-1-6, and used for the first 2 waters, and that is when my yellow problem started.
I am using old school Quick Dip TDS Stick, and asked on this site for anyone who knew how to read the meter, and got no results. So for first month really had no control. Then was told to try Pacifica it is a fish emulsion, at 1/2 strength, then started to get yellow and brown around leaves, so stopped that food, I had used for 2 waters( Fill up Tank with 15 gal ) Added until Dip Stick read 700.
Was told to use all purpose plant food with a 20 -20 -20 rating. That is what I have been using for last 2 waters.

Last week I misted plants in one row and by mistake, sprayer was not clean and free of other solutions, and..... well 14 plants out of 16 got sprayed and the next day the leaves were dry and the plant looked dead. I did not trash the plants. I put them in what I call hospital. I Flushed the pipe and took a Dip Stick reading of the water that came out of the pipe, and the reading was off the scale 18 + . What is going on here do you know.???

Any suggestion on should I say no more hydro and go with straight soil.

I am growing for a compassion club, and it is very important that plants survive and do well.

As this is my first grow of any kind, I can use all the help I can get.

The Surrey Compassion Club, is taking applications for membership, if interested e-mail [email protected] for more info.

Has this system had a successful harvest for you or anyone else ? If not I would be looking at other types of systems. You could change to DWC or bubblers real easy and cheap. It is most likely nute burn and what ever was in the spayer bottle. You could get the heat down a bit but do you know what the water temps are if the room is 80 ?

Hope the plants make it. It's alright if you burn the leaves off as long as the branches come on out good. Just alot of stress.

If you can get some better pic's and maybe fill out the form in the plant problems section. I guess this is an NFT system ?
