All my seeds popped, but the question is do I wait till they have a tail about an 1/8 - 1/4 inch long or can I plant them as is? Lighting for newly popped seeds, once planted how much light do these newly planted seeds need; None, a little, or more? An, if they don't require light, then how long should they stay in the dark?

Does having a dome help? Is it ok for the medium to get warm? It seems as my medium is getting warmer with a dome. Would leaving the dome off increase sprouting? Apperently, I'm trying a new method and not sure if this way, will result in the numbers I'm looking for.

That's great your beans popped. A little more info on what your medium is and why did you not just start them in that instead of taking the risk of hurting them when placing sprouts in medium. If your medium becomes toooo hot you can cook them. I never have used a dome but holding in heat can be good or bad depending on if you need it. I use 2 foot fluro's but cfl's would work. Some soft light is best for sprouts, they need it to make energy.

I have one proofed female papaya that is yeilding 50 or more clones a month. Too many for me so friends get setup. It can take time to get to the right spot for the numbers you need but once there and your set.

I use tweezers to place in it's sprouting cup of moistened soil, once germinated. Then I cover with another 1/8 to 1/4 inch of soil, and give a few sprays of water for good luck. Keep the medium moist, but not drenched...you can drown the sprouts.
Usually, I'll plant the seeds that have popped, when tail first starts to emerge.
No light necessary till they break-ground...unless it's the only heat source. They like it warm. (75ish to 80ish is fine)

No reason to use a dome unless the soil is drying out too quickly. Even then, watering a little more may be a better idea. If you insist on a dome, they'll need fresh air often, or mold may form.
Careful with watering, too. Too much water added too fast, and the seed can either be pushed to the bottom of the cup, or float, and subsequently wash down the side.

Rusty, I am trying to get some pic's now. My 800 dollar camera is broke and will cost too much to fix, sucks cause it's a good one. I am looking for my old one and will get some pic's up. My bro started it and mistreated it. He gave it to me and the thing bushed like I have never seen. I had to cut a branch off the other day because of space and took 28 cutting off the branch. Must be twice that left on it.
