Transplant gone rong

Today when i was transplanting my plant i kind of messed the root system up. However the majority of the root system stayed intact(about 70% of it).
Have plants ever died from this?

It'll probably slow growth down for just a little bit, while the roots get acclimated back into their new home, especially if 30% of the roots were broken off of the rootball (not sure if that's what you meant)... but it shouldn't kill it. Some of the leaves may also start to contort a little, which is normal. You might consider adding a drop of Superthrive per gallon of water for the next couple of waterings while you wait it out.

Usually, when you trim the rootball you trim off some of the foilage on the plant. There is thread on here about it. You should trim about 1/3 of the green foilage when trimming the roobtall. But you weren't trying to trim it. It just broke, so it prob didn't need to be transplanted yet then.

This what I do with my mother plants. Since I don't want to transplant them into ginormous pots, I trim the rootball, put fresh spoil in to replace what was there. Then trim her up. I only do this right after I butcher her for clones tho.

yea i added some superthrive to it and it seems to be bouncing back.
and good idea monkey, next time i think ill go with trimming the rootball.

Well I just do this with my moms, so I don't advise it as an alternative to transplanting.
