I'm interested in receiving a Medical Marijauna card and I've been looking for a website that has details and everything that I might need to know if I do get one. Mainly about laws that might prohibit me to work in certain environments or for certain state/federal agencies if I happen to be a Medical Marijuana patient. If it would effect my spouse at all in anything she might plan to do, information like that. If there was a site that explain everything that would be awesome too but mainly I'm interested in information such as that. Things that I might not be able to do being a patient that I would be able if I wasn't.

scrubass, but I can tell you----- it will allow you to get your self off the presctibed opiets(That the doctors are more than willing to force down your throat, because the insurance you have does not want to pay for the operation you need) that you must be adicted to if you are surching for a less harmful medicine like marijuana. OR - it may allow you to ween yourself off those xanex, or what ever other mind altering drug that a doctor feels he-
or the pharmacutical company that helps him make his living feels you need
(Side effects might include thoughts of suicide- if these occure please let your doctor know. Or if liver problems occure-hey I am sure that he has a pill
for that to.) JUst stick to what ever you are taking now............yep

any type of DOT job, anything involving public safety

i have friends out there and they say that in many job applications they have questions about it

it seems like they definitely distinguish between MMJ patients and normal citizens because they are assuming they are always high

your not going to get a job as a cop on MMJ, what type of work do you and your wife want to do?

i really doubt they can use anything against your wife, like "oh her husband smokes pot we can't hire her.." thats just un-realistic

Well your post is much more nice then the first one, anyway my wife wants to be a Social Worker and I'm going into Digital Art (which I'll be fine with). She wants to eventually open an orphanage so since a lot of that seems like it'll go through State or Federal agencies I figured I should find out all I need to find out before I go about getting one.

Would being a patient effect any type of disability whether state or federal? Is there any website that would be good to read about it or should I look for maybe a lawyer that specializes in these types of cases?

I was in a bad mood- and I thought you where just trolling. I guess what gets me in a bad mood is that I can take many pills that are known to cause very bad side effects, and still be considered able to function at work. But heaven forbid some one wants to medicate with marijuana-they are banned from many lines of work, can loose thier insurance coverage..... you get it.
I am glad you found this site, and I hope some one here can give you the info you need---- kudos to your wife, an orphanage.that is about as stand up as you can get. hope all goes well with your MMP card:stoned::stoned:
