I am looking to make the perfect light for a hydroponic system I'm making. For a light to be perfect it would have to fit all of the plants lighting needs and possibly more.:rasta: I've been doing research for a while and I know that plants use the most light in the 440nm and 660nm parts of the visible light spectrum.
Look at this: http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/590_files/l-chart.jpg
I have decided to use High Brightness Red LEDs that emit 660nm at 6000mcd.
But I've been having much difficulty finding a light that emits at large amount of the 440nm part of the spectrum. The lowest wavelength I can find High Brightness LEDs is at 460nm, but that doesn't fit for "The Perfect Grow-Light".
If anyone can help me out with finding a blue light lower on the spectrum it would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone can throw me some tips that would be great.
