View Full Version : Dangerous and weird phone call

About three weeks ago I received 10 seeds from amsterdammarijuanaseedbank.com. I had them delivered at my rented P.O. box. At the post office I only gave my cell phone number.

Today, as I was away from home (I live with my parents), my father received a phone call at home from a man telling him: "Sir, your son is planning to grow marijuana". Immediately the man hung up. He didn't say which agency - if any - he belonged to.

Of course this is shity. Anyone ANY advice or idea? Who was that man? Was he from the police, from the post office or from the bank? Was this phone call a standard procedure of the state's mechanism or just an initiative from a freaking bast*rd?

Am I prone to legal penalties just for ordering "souvenir" seeds?

P.S:

1. I live in Greece.
2. I was all the way on the "loose lips sink ships" moto, i.e. I haven't told anyone about my project.

First off who did you till. Your buddy's? How did you order the seeds straight from the web site or did you write out a paper order. The Cops don't know you live with your parents nether does the Post office. Sounds like you have a buddy who is trying to set you up.

no clue or help; sorry. Hope you get all sorted and everything is ok.

I told NOONE man! Not a single person did I tell I purchased seeds. You think it's a set up from someone I know? Doesn't seem probable. Besides, someone working at the post office could easily find my father's name (from my name) and thus the number of my home phone.

Sounds like something to ask a Greek cannabis forum (I know we have one here in Funland)... most of the people here are Americans, where they don't play games and just haul your ass to jail

bigtopsfinn you can't go to jail for ordering souvenir seeds, can you? I mean it's like bying a bong. Can they charge you for smoking marijuana if you buy a bong?

Buckten good thing you are cautious man. I relied on the discretion of the system. I thought that even if the worst scenaro occured, i.e. an employee finding out I had ordered seeds, he wouldn't care or at least he would have no jurisdiction on acting against me. Turns out that someone could indeed harm me this way.

I don't know I feel I am being watched...

look up your local laws. In the U.S. I'm pretty sure you could get in shit for ordering seeds.

I 've read the law. It mentions growing, smoking and dealing but no seeds. As I said, seeds are supposed to be souvenirs.

Well that is said so the company can cover their asses and not have problems, As it usually tells u to check your local laws 2. How discrete was the packaging.? Did it say seedbank at all.? I would doubt the bank would call your dad either or tha post. You sure it did not slip at all "high/drunk/accident" Because usually the post will throw that shit way and send you notice they found shit. What did ur pops say, And i think if you was planin to grow there you should have had their permission befor you ordered anything, As they can be held responsible. Again I don't know your laws either so I might be wrong. An if you were planing growin in parents house without their permission theses Forums here do not support that kinda activity good day:jointsmile:

The packaging seemed discreet enough. Other than being from the Netherlands it was a plain envelope with a greeting card inside as cover. I got the seeds all right. Well my dad was frustrated and very distressed. I was planning a guerrilla grow of 5 plants maximum for my own personal use only.

Anyways, I now one thing for sure: I am never ordering again from the particular seedbank.

RR your English is excellent and almost colloquial. Are you American or British?

When I read your first post before I saw the last line I thought for sure that it was one of your friends who called. Then I started thinking maybe your dad could have made it up to find out more information or see your reaction. Is it possible that your parents found something like history on your computer, maybe leaving out something you shouldn't have, maybe they saw the package, maybe they even went through your things. Is that possible? If they did go through your things this might be their cover story instead of telling you they went through your things.

As far as souvenir seeds I don't know exactly what you mean. For instance, here in the U.S. (not including the medical marijuana states) the only way cannabis seeds can be legal is if they are sterilized (I think that's the proper term) where they have been treated so that they can't germinate. The most popular application of these sterilized seeds I believe is bird seed.

I hope your guerrilla grow wasn't going to be inside your parents' house or else this thread goes bye bye. Don't grow in their house without their permission. Hopefully you found a patch of land not on your family's property just some random piece of public land.

Some one is playing you. Either your DAD or a friend. That's a fishing call to see how you react. I bet you let the cat out of the bag when you were told.

Other than that the call meant nothing or everything. I bet your dad found out how you paid for them or some info like that. Did you call to order ? Did you send money order ? You left something for your parents to find.

I got beans from the DR. about a month ago and they are very good souvenirs not to be germed.

I can tell you police anywhere would not make a call like that, niether would the postal service unless your dad works there. Very strange, no caller ID ?

I would do nothing and hide the beans.

Thanks, I am neither Brit nor American, I am Greek.

I was planning a guerrilla grow (outdoors by definition) in an abandoned settlement. The seeds were bought via debit card and the bill came to me personally.

Most probably my dad messed with my laptop as I (stupid stupid stupid) didn't have it secured. My e-books and bookmarks are full of cannabis growing stuff. Perhaps he searched my room and found a bottle of nutrients I recently bought. The seeds were a bit hard to find.

Since there is history to support this - in the past he discovered a bag full of marijuana in one of my drawers - I tend to believe he is screwing with me.

Anyways I am growing anyway as soon as my new order of Auto AK-47 arrives and the weather gets a little better...:D But I 'll be super extra cautious.

I wanna thank all people that answered to this thread. I consider it a token of solidarity. However we must recognize there are far more serious situations out there.

It's just a plant. Peace.

Just remember this for when you start growing. Stay para, then when you're done you can chill again :D
