hi folks, I'm a new member here, been a reader for a couple years.

To the point, i have a closet space of 4ft(45") x 5ft(60") x 9 1/2ft(114") tall

no what i was wonder is how could i maximize the full potential of this space?
i was thinking well i could have 3 medium size ones, grow em nice and tall, or have 2 huge mothers. Now the most interesting thought is, what if i where to divide that 9 1/2 that will give me 4.75ft (57") of space to grow in terms of height. which set up would have the bigger yield? i was also looking at lights and i noticed that i have about 3 500w led lamps, the kind used as spot lights in on a construction site. now i asked myself is led a write type of light to use, and from what i have read on here the answer in no not really but they can be used. would they be good for the flower stage? I have never read anywhere on here that these types have lamps have been used before. now i know the type of strain makes all the difference but i was hoping someone of experience could help me out with some useful advise. also a list of things that i will need to make this closet grow go nice and smooth with a great yield. by the way i this needs to be stealth, i was wondering if they sell a paint that can keep in heat sort of like a thermal paint.

all the best and waiting patiently for a reply :jointsmile::hippy:

Just a couple of things to ponder...

Is this going to be a veg-only room? If not, you'll have to divide the room in two. One side for veg, one for flower. This will be a major headache, mainly because of heat, light leaks and ventilation.
Were it me, I'd pick a smaller closet for veg, and set this one up as a flower room. Or, you can use this room and go from seedling to harvest, and all you'd really need to change is the lights when it's time to switch from 18/6 to 12/12.

Those spotlights run at around 10,000 degrees f. Ineffecient, to say the least. You'll spend big bucks cooling the space back to within acceptable ranges. Put the light in the empty closet and turn it on for a couple of hours, and see how the closet handles the heat. I'd start looking for alternative light sources now. If you want a parts list...there are plenty of growlogs you can look at to see what other's are having success with.

Stealth from someone outside the house, or from within...?

im gonna use the room from seed to harvest, but what i was gonna do was get 2 mothers going then clone from them, then really start the grow, how many do you think i could fit in side a closet that big?.stealth for outside the house, dont want the popo's to be able to see it with any heat seekers or whatever they're called, yea i'll do that, i mean i already know just about everything i need i just wanted to see if there is anything i missed, PH pen, high spectrum bulbs for for veg, low spectrum for flowering, a fan to keep the temperature (i don't know what that is. i'm thinkinh between 22c-25c?) would i be able to replace a carbon filter with just having to air flow systems such as having a fan to taking in air at the bottom with ducking tube /pvc tubing and the same at the top but on the outside of the closet if I stuff the end of the ducking with down sheets( the kind used in a laundry machine), would that eliminate the smell, or have I completely misunderstood the use of a carbon filter? mini moisture tester, Iā??m thinking Iā??m going to go with hps for flowering. Can anyone recommend some high spectrum bulbs for the vegetating stage?

Yup, 22c-25c is optimal, it can go up to 29c during the day and down to about 16 at night. Any hotter/colder and the plant will stress and slow it's growth.

would i be able to replace a carbon filter with just having to air flow systems such as having a fan to taking in air at the bottom with ducking tube /pvc tubing and the same at the top but on the outside of the closet

You can have and active exhaust and active intake, but the exhaust should be 4 times more powerful than your intake. This is because you want a negative pressure in your grow area to keep the odors from leaking.

if I stuff the end of the ducking with down sheets( the kind used in a laundry machine), would that eliminate the smell, or have I completely misunderstood the use of a carbon filter?

Dryer sheets won't cut it. I'd say go with the carbon filter. Mount the filter near the top of the closet, and some duct going out the wall to your exhaust fan, which will pull the air through the filter. This is better than pushing it, which can cause an area of pressurized air between your fan and filter, and could leak odor.

If you get a switchable ballast for your hps, you can also use an equal wattage MH bulb with the same ballast. When you want to flower, just switch the bulbs.

Good luck
